DISCUSSION THREAD -- January 2024 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

For those who are curious, Sloth received two votes (out of 46); the winner had six votes.

Tempting, but it's been done before and as I'm a 100% original like my writing, it will have to be something else.

Although, the word - winner - does seem appropriate.

Brilliant XD here’s a joke you’ve probably already heard but I need to tell anyway :)

at an end of an interview the boss asks the man one final question

”If you could describe yourself in 1 word, what would that word be?”
after a few seconds the man replies
”hired”

@DaCrazyKat29 .... The Beginning of the End Effect .... A poem which faces the end with a material question.

@mosaix .... Origins .... This is a story which made me sigh with disappointment and a sense of inevitability.

@Bowler1 i think the next frontier will be the zero word story. Maybe someone someday will set a theme of “Nothing”.

@JS Wiig .... A New Day .... A story that makes me think of the proverb: "Be careful what you wish for."

An interesting idea. But I'd still manage 75 words on nothing. Some might say I've written far more words saying nothing, but what's not to say. I know the world loves me and even when I've nothing to say, it's best I make the effort to say nothing at all. Sort of like this post, a load of nothing with lashings of nothing, but you're still here reading my thoughts of waffle on nothing at all. It's fun in my world where nothing ever troubles me, a simple life really.

Hmm, I do like waffles but then again sometimes there is something a little off with the texture, but oh that sweet syrup, ugh sometimes a bit too sweet, and fruit can be good, but not strawberries . . .

Waffles are wonderful. Syrup is wonderful. Fruit is wonderful, strawberries are especially wonderful and then if you put whipped cream on top, Ahhh, Nirvana.

@reiver33 .... Don Juan, Move Over .... This story is a perfect illustration of the proverb: "A moment of uncontrolled passion, a lifetime of regrets."

@Bren G .... The Little Things of Life .... The story reminds me of the proverb: "We can count the number of seeds in an apple, only God knows the number of apples in a seed."
