And in the spirit of the season and my post from last year: DISCUSSION THREAD -- December 2022 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

The People Down Below, Are Sleeping as We Go...
The Snowman and I landed in a wooded forest far into the English countryside, where we waited and watched as a fox approached us in the snow.
My old friend looked at the cold fox and handed him a gift. Taking it in his mouth, the fox nodded with a tear and smile, then left for his den.
I questioned, but all my friend told me was that it was time for us to go.

Mery Christmas, Happy Holidays and PAX to all!

Inspiration, my costar:

Well I'm in. Unusually early for me but, it being December, things start getting busy soon and I never like to rush things.

@Ian Fortytwo .... The Hologram's Welcome .... This is a story that points in one direction but is actually headed in a very different direction.

@Karn's Return .... Riddle of Reality and Thought .... This is a story that leaves my head spinning and not sure where I'm going or where I've been, so it is indeed a riddle.

@Astro Pen .... Roots .... This is a story that reminds us that unforeseen events can be super scary.

@THX1138 .... Northern Lights .... This is a story which helps us understand the beautiful and ephemeral nature of life.

@mosaix .... Camaraderie .... This is a story whose undertone is a friendship quite unimagined.

I've had a bash... might be too science heavy for taste but I was amazed I even had an inkling of an idea

@Victoria Silverwolf .... Pilgrim's Progress .... This is a story which is an interesting mix of the ancient and a possibly impossible future.

@Cat's Cradle .... Overtime .... This is a story which leaves me unaccountably sad and worried.

@Guttersnipe .... A Planet for Joe .... This is a story that's going to make you go "What? How?".

@Peter V .... An Unexpected Win - Win for Time Dilation .... This is a story about redemption from something that went terribly wrong to something that went terribly right.

@johnnyjet .... A Vacation for Drill Press 258 .... This is a story for everyone of us who couldn't leave our work behind even though we were on holiday.

Hello old friends,

Well, I didn’t make it into many (any) of this years challenges like I had planned, but I didn’t want to miss out on the chance for a Christmas story.

I’d forgotten how difficult this was. Getting down to 75 words is such a challenge. I always feel another 50 words could add so much more richness, but then it makes you think very hard about what the word choices are doing.

I look forward to reading all the entries.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all:giggle:
