@Phyrebrat .... To The White Cliffs .... This is a story which pulls at a hidden truth about where you are and where you'd like to be.

@Bren G .... As Dusk Falls .... This is a story that reminds us that often the greatest insights of life come as strangers become acquaintances and then friends.

The Challenge is now closed to new entries.

*** Overtime (Over Time) - Cat's Cradle ***
A Planet for Joe – Guttersnipe

Short listed stories:

An Unexpected Win - Win for Time Dilation by @Peter V because the story tells of the ubiquitous unexpected situation that Travelers seem destined to find.

Account of a Visit on 34th Street, New York by @M. Robert Gibson because the story hits the theme head on and still gets seasonal.

Timepyre and the Traveller by @Azzagorn because of the very original idea of a "Timepyre."

A Mind Forever Wandering by @paranoid marvin for a very delightful poetical tale.

A Star Seen in the East from the Future by @The Judge because this is a story tailor made for my predilections.

It was a close race between @paranoid marvin and @The Judge but in the end the reading wanderer won out.

Here's wishing everyone a happy and safe New Year.

My Short-Long List:

Bren G's touching entry. That's what it's all about, this story's strong sentiment. Well done.

Thank you THX1138 and Hugh, for listing my story. And thanks to johnnyjet and AnRoinnUltra for the votes! :)

Good luck with the voting the rest of the way, all, CC
