Book Hauls!

Went into the BHF charity shop today. Lots of Stephen King and James Herbert books 50p each. Trouble is I have most of them already. I did pick up this one SK book though.

The Inspector Dreyfuss trilogy by Alistair Reynolds on Audio book. Read by John Lee, who also read the Revelation Space books.

I have only read the first two. I'm not sure why, but i felt a little disappointed when i read The Prefect and Elysium Fire. Not sure why, though. I enjoyed them well enough, but i often find that this type of book always relies on some leap of faith to connect the evidence together and solve the crime. Still, i'm looking forward to listening to them.

As an aside, i have these in hardback on my shelves and i was always really annoyed that the publishers never continued with the oversized hardback that the original RS books and The Prefect were published in. Boooo, publishers.

I bought the hard cover of Miles Cameron's Deep Black.

I haven't read that one, but Straub is a favorite of mine from that period. Given your tastes, I'm not sure how you'll view his writing. I'll be interested to hear.
