Imperial Spy

The griffon would be a force for good. i think that telepathy would be the only way that the griffon would communicate.

btw, my avatar is a griffon

and no i havent heard of the books you mentioned dwndrgn but ill look out for them.

Remind me - Griffon/Gryphon - half lion, half eagle? I seem to remember them being very proud and generally a force for good/neutral. Would this make sense? The telepathy is accepted, Dwndrgn, and I guess you know which story this will appear in! :)

which story would this be?

Could you be a little more specific? theres a lot of stuff there:confused:

The story Dwndrgn refers to (she's being coy) is the one I wrote for her - it's called Dawn Dragon and you'll find it here: http://www.chronicles-network.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3621

I've decided to turn this into a book, which I hope to start working on seriously in about November this year. I'm intending to call the book Dragon Pact. Any other thoughts for potential characters will be welcome. :)

Oh, i've read the prologue to that. it sounds good but is it gonna have lots of magic and magical creatures in it or just dragons (and a griffon ;) )
one of the characters could be called Matt:D ;)
what races will there be, just humans or elves, dwarves etc?

Balinor, with the plot line I've worked out I don't intend there to be magicians in this story, but I've not ruled out the possibility. There will be some 'magic' involved, but I don't want to give too much away. There will, however, be plenty of space for mythical and magical creatures, so any suggestions along those lines will be good. I'm not big on elves and dwarves as I always feel that using these makes everyone instantly compare them to the races in Lord of the Rings, so the majority of the characters will be human.

I'm sure that one of the characters could be Matt. His full name might be Mattias, or Mathias. Matt is a nice, simple name, and I always like to keep the names simple in my stories. :)

I think that is the first time in my life I've ever been described as 'coy'. Thanks for the chuckle!!

Looks nice - interesting that the focus is in the title writing.

Thanks for the feedback Dwndrgn and Brian. Glad you like it. The focus will be in the title writing on all of the books in this series. I'm hoping to make the 'A' of assassin into a wolf-spider (tarantula) for the next book.

Indeed. Like Magical Trevor, but better:D

The prospect of this story is very promising:) I'd buy it!

Magical Trevor! Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while.

I'm not actually kidding when I say the spider is magical, but then it is also not real. The spider is a silver talisman which acts as a transporting device when touched against a special base unit.

Looks cool!! Can't wait to get inside. If you don't mind my asking, was the main character's name inspired by a certain actress? I only ask because if I see anything close to that name I immediately hear her saying "Onatopp."

No, Femke was a young girl I met at a booksigning in Cheltenham a few years ago. I asked her if she didn't mind me using her name for a character in one of my stories and look what happened. I get quite a lot of names this way. I'm not even sure which actress you're referring to, though the name looks like something from Austin Powers... would I be close?

Actually I was referring to Famke Janssen, she played a Russian pilot in the James Bond film "Goldeneye" and also plays Jean Gray in the X-Men movies. The character in "Goldenye" was named (forgive spelling) Xonia Onatopp. And since Austin Powers is a James Bond spoof, I supppose you would be close, within a mile at least. :)
