Not read all of this but I do think Dani is the Fire and Jon is the Ice, will one destroy the other or will they find a balance and a unity? The Dragons will certainly help Jon of the North against the Others.

Maybe the Dragons awaken the children? no idea why I just thought that so feel free to laugh but aren't dragon scales made of obsidion and doesn't it kill the others, maybe the children fell asleep when the dragons left? All crazy thoughts but hey who knows

Regarding Dany...... I hated Jamie and Sandor but they both grew into my favorite characters, I loved Dany am I destined to despise her?

I think it's a given that the Others are the enemy. What's not a given is when they are fought. Based on nothing but what we know right now and the names of the last two books, it MIGHT be that the Others become the threat that EVERYONE musy unify against in TWOW, and then perhaps there will be an ultimate confrontation between Ice the Starks and the forces of the North and Fire- the Targs and perhaps Lannisters in the South.

This becomes problematic for Jon if he's half targ hlaf Stark though.

I have always felt that all will need to come together against the Others, the realms of men and all that.
Don't think it will be a confrontation between Stark and Targ, it must be a joining. Therfore no conflict for Jon, as he is both! Plus the Starks are all wargs, the animals of the north may be needed, and of course the dragons. Speaking of dragons, there is much talk of where will more dragons come from, from Danys dragons of course! Aemon said "dragons are not male or female but both, interchangeable, first one and then the other."
