I wasn't expecting very much, but I did enjoy it, but by the end of the third show (on e4) it kinda seemed to have the plot dynamics of something i've seen before (without actually been able to point my finger on exactly). The characters are great and so is the directing for the most part with the writing and prodution values being above average for that drama/soap slot.

The dude getting sucked up into the engine on the beach at the begining.
The plane breaking up, with the people being thrashed around inside the fuselarge.
Kate on the beach, wearing very little.

I've seen the entire first season. I've been hooked on it from the first. The new season should be starting sometime soon.

I think it is the mystery surrounding everything that gives it that 'Twilight Zone' type of feeling that makes it classify as scifi.

I'm not going to mention my favorite bits since they might contain a spoiler or two.

That makes two of us, dwndrgn... I'm hooked on that show and CSI: Las Vegas!

Hasn't Lost aired for several seasons now here in the states, I think we are on the third, right? Or was that just the first season that's been released (seemed long for a season if so).

No, just one season, and a fairly short one at that, with all the repeats and all the weeks when there was no episode at all. It just felt like it took two or three years for them to bring out far fewer episodes than used to make up a season for a popular network show. !@#$#&^% Sweeps mentality.

I wasn't a big fan at the beginning of the season, but I was well and truly hooked by the end. Since my husband was the same, there came a time when our Wednesday nights were planned around that one hour slot.

Twenty five episodes including a two part pilot all in the first season... which will be released for sale in America on September 6 this year which can be ordered on Amazon for only $38.99. (CSI cost so much more than that.) It's the release date of the first season that made me think there was more than one season out. I was under the impression that release dates took years... not months... things must be changing or maybe it's been a year and I'm horribly confused ~ easy to do.

My hubby's hooked as well. It is one of the few shows (along with House and the orig. CSI) that the entire household will watch together.

For those of us in the States, the second season begins Sept. 21st.

I'm not expecting to try to figure anything out, Kelpie. I just know I'll be corrected, often, which doesn't bother me in the lest. I've given into complet echaos when I my oldest was born... I'm just along for the ride now.


I wonder if there's a link Foxbat for the british airing that might help with questions.

I've seen all the US episodes and will be buying the DVD, and recommended it to everyone at work.

The next day everyone had all these questions for me, which is what I was worried about as I didn't want to spoil it. Then I realised I didn't actually know the answers anyway. "But you've seen it all, doesn't that mean you know the answers?", "Ummm, to be honest, it just means I have a lot more questions"

It's that kind of show. Good stuff, a tendency to drag now and then if you don't get intot he characters. But a good example of why I think genre TV had been getting better and better over the last 5 to 10 years.

Very true and one reason why it's so addictive because it's so damn intriguing. It keeps you wondering, asking, and never once do you get any answers!!! Love the show!

That was a great episode. I think most of Lost's award nominations came from it. Took me by suprise as well.

Lost has 12 Emmy nominations! TWELVE in it's first season... I wonder if they'll top that in season 2.
