Lost

I thought the 1st couple of episodes were great.
You really can tell there is A LOT more going on to what it seems.
Can't wait to see how it pans out. :)

Thought I'd join in Since LOST is my favorite show as well. I like it so much that just hearing praise for that insane housewives show makes me resent it. I think Lost is so superior.

Any way, in answer to someones earlier question, many questions get answered over the length of the season but the end of the season leaves just as many new ones to be answered.

Here in the States there have been a couple different specials on the TV just talking about LOST. They've even interviewed the cast to ask about where they're supposed to be ( shot in Hawaii by the way ) and no one really knows.

Some fans say its the bermuda triangle others say its Purgatory but one of the director/creators says it's nothing all that simple. Guess we'll all find out eventually.

Actually I did hear that the director/creator said that the Purgatory thing wasn't true. I don't know about the bermuda thing...

Each of the main characters has more than one flashback episode over the whole season, so there is more of KAte's backstory to come.

And Sawyer said where the bear came from: "Bear Village" ;)

Possible very slight spoiler below highlight to read
If you have it taped rewind it to where the kid (Walt is reading the comic and watch very closely for some extra weirdness) ;)
End

i couldn't wait for Lost to start as im a huge fan of dominic monaghan (charlie) and was annoyed he wasn't doing anything mainstream after lotr but then lost happened ... i like some other people watched the 2 episodes on c4 and than the 3rd on e4 back to back and i am already immmersed in the whole thing

however i have to admit that i watched about 6 episodes in france a couple of weeks ago even though it was in french ... which i couldn't understand ... and managed to seriously confuse myself (mainly because it was in french so i didn't have a clue what they were saying most of the time) but also because the french seem to be quite a way into the first season so i already know vaguely some of what is coming.

anyway am stoked about the whole thing and can't wait until wednesday for the next episode ... plus wednesday is a good time for a show like this as it shines extra bright in the rubbish telly on the other channels.:p

My wife is American, and was back in the States last year when Lost started, so she's seen some, though not all, of the episodes. She's been going on about it for months, so I'm glad I finally got to see it...and I wasn't disappointed! I loved that bit when the bloke got sucked into the engine! It would have been a bit annoying if they had to wait for it to run out of juice before it shut down. Thank God for people who don't look where they're going!

just started on terrestrial here. i've watched episodes one to three. and i won't read any of the other posts in case of spoilers;)
but i like it so far. scripted programing. such a change from the normal rubbish littering the cable and terrestrial networks...

If we find out it is a 'Buffy'-like dream kind of thing -- I'll be soooo mad! I can just see Hurley waking up with a losing lottery ticket in his hand...
That would really piss me off

The beautiful thing about Lost is that it's almost spoiler proof. Additional pieces of the puzzle keep throwing new light on previous pieces, so that nothing that we think we know is set in stone, and anything those of us who have seen the whole first season might "give away" may turn out to mean something completely different later on.

It is indeed an original thought for a show... I'm interested in what happens the next season... I wonder how long they are going to keep the series going for... I'm full of quesitons today... sorry guys. :)

Lost is my favorite show as well. And don't worry about the dream thing - the writers have confirmed that they would not stoop to that level of cheesiness. :)

Um...That plane would have had to be way, way, WAY off course for it's disappearance to have anything to do with the Bermuda Triangle, which is in the Atlantic Ocean. To get to Los Angeles from Australia, one flies over the Pacific Ocean.

Although...there are some theorists who say that there are several lozenge-shaped (not triangular) areas with properties like those the Bermuda Triangle is purported to have. Perhaps they fell victim to one of those areas, although I can't recall offhand where they are supposed to be, except one is supposed to be somewhere around Japan.

Gah...I know too much about that for my own good, don't I? Just blame my misspent adolescence.:)
