Okay, I need to vent here: I'm frothing at the mouth, itching to get my hands on the new book. So I called the bookstore where GRRM will be making an appearance this month- (I have to buy from them or I don't get to attend the booksigning) - the imbeciles told me that I can't pre-order the book if I want to attend the event. I have to either buy it on the 8th or afterwards, or pre-order it and be denied the chance to meet GRRM. And damn it all if the bookstore isn't all the way across town, in traffic-choked San Diego.:mad:

Arya - if you hold out, you'll be able to say your copy of AFfC is signed, which I can't. :)

See if you can winkle out of him when he thinks book 6 will be ready for release btw :D
 
I ordered affc 2 weeks ago and the told me it would just take 'a few days' to get it from the UK. I hope I don't have to wait longer for the book then you guys in the US.

It's just so sad to know that a lot of people have it and are diaakussing it already.

Hopefully just a few more days to wait...

I'll do my best. Although every time I picture myself actually meeting him, I also picture my mind turning into a total blank. I'll probably embarrass myself and drool or leave my book behind or something like that.:rolleyes:
 
Hang in there is all I can offer because it is worth the wait having already perused AFOC myself...:cool:

Why is it taking so long to be released in the US vs. UK, Australia etc....:confused:

Well four days left until Feast comes out :D . I am very excited. I have to go to Atlanta for work on the 8th and I plan on stopping at a local book store when I get back into town. It shall be wonderful. I wish Martin was coming near by. I would like to meet him. He is by far my favorite author. And a note on the reading and text messages, I hate text messages, I used to date a girl who would send me text messages instead of calling. I had to put an end to that crap. Oh well, back to work.
 
I can't afford it due to me mismanaging my money so badly. :)

Fortunately I still have a ton of books to read so I shan't cry - well not outwardly. My heart is filled with tears. Perhaps someone will get it for me for my birthday or perhaps I could test the security at Waterstones.... :)

Geez, it took me way too much brain power to understand that.:) What does "Rez pls" mean? It is rescue? And what does "LF1M" mean?

You'd think that during the computer age, people's typing skills would be honed enough that they could type real English at top speeds, instead of resorting to gibberish.
 
Rez = resurrection - bringing 'dead' characters back to life by potions/spells, or in this case, a red priest! :)

As for LF1M - your guess is as good as mine - loses something in translation I think :)
