Favorite Star wars Character

Boba Fett died, how cool is that.
No one has corrected this!!! How appaling. Boba Fett didn't die in the sarlacc belly. He survived. Read Mandalorian Armour.

Fave character would probably be Wedge Antilles then Corran Horn and Chewbacca tied second. Then there is also Face and Phanan who are just hilarius. They beat everyone by far.

Call me old fashioned but I cannot relate well to the new Star Wars movies, so for me fav character has to be Han Solo closely followed by Ben (Obi One)

my favorite character is ian mac, or mc diarmid. he is a brilliant actor. i must mention it because i'm german and the german version is very bad in comparison to the english one.

hmmm deciding ultimate favourites was too hard, so i'm gonna choose per category i'm familiar with...

Original Movies: easily Darth Vader. The voice, the breathing, the dread he instills in all who hear his name. Honourable Mentions to: Han Solo, Leia, C3PO - his disaster comments are always good for a laugh and The Emperor.

The Prequels: Anikin in Episode 3. Such prolific use of his powers is impressive. I actually think Hayden acted MUCH better in this film and Anikin became a great character. Honourable Mentions to: General Grievous, Yoda (I like Leader Yoda better than Hermit Yoda), Qui Gon Jin (so independent for a Jedi) and Chancellor Palpatine (so slimy you just can't help but love-hate him - OH and he kills Mace Windu too that could easily have made him my favourite)

The Games: The Exile! Played as the canon female, she is seriously an awesome character... ending up much more powerful than Revan was - which we discover in Revan's fight with Malak at the end of KOTOR, Revan was more powerful in that final battle at max level 20 than he had been in the war. The Exile, a Natural Leader (i suspect that having Her join His war would have been a coup of monumental proportions for Revan, as she was even better than he at inspiring others due to the Force Bonds she developed subconsciously with others), a mighty warrior, and ultimately the person who cleaned up Revan's mess. Honourable Mentions to: HK-47 (one word - Meatbags!), Kreia (so evil/so caring - and so cool to 'predict' the end of the Mandalorians - "too easily killed by a jedi" (Jango Fett)) and Juhani (who doesn't love a slightly bad cat-woman)

Hello all. I was going to put this under the favorite jedi heading, but after thinking about it, while I like all the characters in both trilogies (even jar-jar), I have to say Qui-Gon is my favorite character / jedi. He may not be the baddest with his lightsabre, but he did have more intuition and humility than almost every other jedi in at least the prequels. Even Yoda started to question the validity of the prophecy regarding Anakin when it was the council who really had a hand in pushing Anakin to the dark side from the beginning. They never believed in him. Qui-Gon had such a faith in the force that he did things others thought insane or outright wrong like wagering a starship that was not even his. After all, it was Qui-Gon, with his belief, conviction and practice of, that somehow was the first jedi to find immortatity. Yes, he is my favorite.
On another note completly off the subject, because no one has posted a reply to AOTC easter eggs in quite some time, I just have to share this. When Anakin and Obi-Wan are chasing Zam Wessell through Corusant, after Anakin says "excuse me" and jumps out of the speeder, during his free fall, I could swear I hear a "meep meep", not a beep beep like from another speeders horn, but a meep meep (road runner?). After all, Anakins plummet sure reminds me of something the coyote was constantly doing. But don't take my word for it...

Top of the list has to be Boba Fett for me. Always, since I saw ESB on the big screen when I was a kid. Probably the mystery about him just left me wanting to know more about this bad guy.

Just a shame his 'death' was stupid for a cheap laugh. They built up this character to be really cool and he ends up being an idiot. You would expect him to use his skills to get out of the Sarlac (which he has done in the comic books and as mentioned above - and comes back, but to the general public who just watched the film he's dead). I was always waiting for him to jet pack out of the pit and at least die more worthy death. Jango had a decent last battle.

I didn't buy it that he would be instantly dead after C-3PO's mention of "...slowly digested over a thousand years..." and imaged he was sitting in the Sarlac's belly protected by his suit from all the presumably acidic toxins and looking at all of Hutt's henchmen thinking " see ya later suckers - I'm outta here! " :) - even if his jet pack was broken, his character was set up to be a bit more adaptable to his situations. I figured Lucas killed him off for a cheap laugh and didnt realise how popular he was and so he was brought back in the books.

Anyone know how his mini-series is going? When it's out? Not looked into it much, but I hear theres one in production.

I like Vader - but not Anakin. Ankakin in his 'no one understands me!' mode is almost as annoying as Jar Jar sometimes. It's more the bad acting than the script. I ready liked the way the whole saga (for me at least ) was about Vader's life story more than the Jedi and everything else.

Obi-Wan too - mostly when Alec Guinness plays him. Ewan over works the accent most times, distracting from the character to me. Grand Moff Tarkin, Han Solo, Chewie, Qui-Gon, General Grievous, Jango Fett and Mace Windu all deserve a mention (though sometimes I feel Jackson overacts at times too)

R2-D2 has to be a favourite. Probably second on my list. If there was ever an unsung hero...

Other interesting supporting or minor characters for me that we didnt get to know much (in the films) were Ki-Adi-Mundi, Wedge Antilles, Admiral Motti, 4-Lom, Bossk, Horox Ryyder, Captain Panaka, Ric Olie and Ratts Tyerell.

Lastly, not really characters, but I always loved the mouse droids!

You got a nice little list there Jezelf. Everyone loves Fett though...everyone.

Oh my I completely forgot to say something on here. I was going to. I even changed my myspace background in honour for it.

In no particular order:

Mara Jade
Boba Fett
Jacen Solo
Nom Anor
Jaina Solo
General Veers
Thrawn
Pellaeon

Boba Fett died, how cool is that. Both the fetts died horrible deaths, what makes them cool. I am at a loss here.

Lando was cool but he becomes a business man and turns into a Donald Trump, now that is the uncoolest thing a smuggler could do.

Are we to take charactes only from the movies or do we include the expanded universe.

CP3O is a machine, now do we have problems with gay machines:rolleyes:
