Favorite non-main character?

Aye, another subjective thread.

*Might be spoilers.*

I guess you can go by your own rules as to who is a main character and who is not, but I'm just going to stick with non-POV characters. With that said, I would have to say:

Yoren: He has a character that reminded me of the Hound, a little. I was bugged when he was killed, but I saw it coming and had planned for it. His care for Arya was a nice touch to the story, since it wasn't overly loving.. Hmm..

Maester Luwin: He's devoted to the Starks, what can I say? In the first book you see his care, but in the second one, with Theon taking over Winterfell, his loyalty shines.

I guess I'm oathbreaking my own rules too, since I'd like to mention Robert, though to call him a non-main character sounds off to me.

My favourites would have to be

Maesters Luwin & Aemon (as we're going with Non-POV's)
Dolorous Edd (He's funny)
The Old Bear (I was very upset when he was killed)
The Black Fish ( I just like him - he has character)
Barristan Selmy

I don't know why I'm drawn to the male characters more than the female...

Dolorous Edd, the Blackfish, Maester Aemon. I really liked the little band that Davos gathered to smuggle Edric Storm off Dragonstone - particularly the ******* of Nightsong - though they had only a small role. Dacey Mormont. I'm sure there are others I can't remember at the moment.

actually Loras would be on my list(please don't flame me)becuase like Catelyn said, he and his friends were the knights of summer. and yes, they were mostly all crap and inexperienced,cocky, idiots, but there is something about their shiny, almost naive chivalry and optimism that i like

The Blackfish is definitely my favorite non-main character. But I also enjoy reading Dolorous Edd, Barristan the Bold, Strong Belwas, Bronn, Mance Rayder, Ygritte, and Tormund Giantsbane.

Me too! They're so involved in Bran's PoV it's almost as if they are main characters. I guess with Martin there are so many layers of characters. And just so many characters....

I have to agree with some of the obvious ones--the Hound, Bronn, Yoren....

But some of the really small characters I liked: Mycah the butcher boy, Lothor Apple-Eater, and "Sygerrik of Skagos"
