Firstly, that's a rather light map of indigenous nations:

Even the map above is light of content and wrong dependent upon the year (nations intermingled, moved, formed confederacies, and so on for millennia. And just for the record, as an Indigenous American, it was the Vikings first, then Spanish, French, British--and after they got tired of fighting both the locals and their own subjects, and left, then it was the Americans
