Favourite character?

My favorite is and will always be The Fool!!!!! I was just as upset as Fitz was when they saw Fool standing on the island when they pulled up. I must admit that I cried when Fitz found him dead in that nasty cell. I actually screamed (scaring some of my co-workers, since I was at work during that part) when he brought him back to life.

Next I would say Fitz/Nighteyes (can't have one without the other). Burrich is also in the top slots.

Kettricken - Very strong woman.

To me, it will always be Fitz, Chade and Nighteyes a close second...
Sorry, just can't get over the awesomeness of assassin's of any ilk.

Coincedentally, my fav game is Assassin's Creed. Can't guess why...

Well, I've only read the Farseer trilogy so far, but based on those books, Nighteyes and then the Fool are my favorite characters.

Hard question to me for I liked most of the characters :p

Let me think....

Farseers/Tawny Man: Nighteyes, Fitz and Verity
Ships: Althea, Malta and Wintrow

I cannot really say why... I just liked them very much!

Sanne

I'd forgotten about Verity when I posted in this thread last- he was a very good character. Nighteyes and Fitz were my favourites, though.

And welcome to the Chronicles, Sanne!:)

Fitz...even if I kept shouting at him not to be such a doormat and assert himself a bit more. Honestly, I've never met a principal character that let people walk over them so much...

Amber is cool, but mainly because of her real identity.

I'm surprised how many people genuinely like Fitz, as he's so incredibly whiny.

Well I have a different favourite charicter, I loved The Pirate King Kennit, why? Well I dont admire him, he's a man doing the right thing for the wrong reasons, I just admired the way he was written, the subtlety Robin Hobb brought to the charicter. Its been a while since I read them and must go through them again but I loved the way he became a hero even though he did not mean to or deserve it. I felt very sorry for him, a poor abused person damaged beyond reason.

But my all time favourite is of course our dear Nighteyes. The quote which I used in another thread about him watching the chickens and teasing Fitz that one might end up in his belly!

Well i've had a good think on this, and i have to say as much as i don't like a lot of what happens to him, i love Fitz above and beyond all the others, even Nighteyes (whom i liked, but was not a huge fan of). many parts of his life-journey are memorable, but i really love when he listens in on a cats thoughts as its pawing the lap of someone (or a cushion can't recall) and all its thinking is "mine, mine, mine" as it claws away.
A close second is Lady Patience - i just love her complete nuttiness. She actually rather reminds me of an Aunt of mine.
I also like Dutiful. something about this not-so-spoiled-as-we-are-led-to-believe-initially prince appeals to me.

Have to say i came to loathe Verity by the end. The absolute and utter violation of Fitz's body completely ruined his character for me.
And from his first page i absolutely HATED Burrich - i almost cheered when he died.

Robin seems to create easily hatable characters quite easily. But likeable ones are much rarer.

I wouldn't survive five minutes on a low-tech world, so point taken. However, most fantasy heroes are far less whiny than Fitz.

Fitz, Dutiful, the Fool, Verity, Patience, Wintrow, Kennit.. well.. almost all of them, really! :p

Now that I've read the books again, I would have to say that I like Fitz, Dutiful, Web, and the Narcheska also. The Fool is still my alltime favorite though.
