Horcruxes. The remaining.

Hmmm I think you could be right. But then again Serius might have thrown it out in all that house cleaning stuff.

My guess is that it is still in the house. It was mentioned in OP that hermione saw a locket and tried desperately to open it, but had given up all hope.

luckiliy for her, maybe it would have done the same to her as the ring supposedly did to Dumbledore later on in HBP.

i dint think it was voldie, i thought it was hagrid, coz his momma is the queen of the giants or summit like that

I think it was written to make people think it was Voldemort. He's the logical person to think of.

that was good thing she did. i doubt its regulus because she making us think that way, like she did with you lot thinking it was voldie and that scabbers was just a rat! but you never know she could be playing a bluff or a double dutch even

Yeah. She will do something unexpected.
But everyone knows she will kill Harry.

We don't know that. Many people may assume it (but since I, for one, don't "know" it, it isn't everyone) but there are multiple options. I'm reasonably sure she won't leave Voldemort in any position of power by the end of the book: so in line with the prophecy he'll either be dead or magically neutered, somehow. As for killing Harry, well there are, again, many options: having him killed in the duel (since that's about the one thing that can be assumed), killed of his injuries some time later, Harry living but being de-powered... and then the weird options like waking up and it's all been a dream etc...

Well the way to stop other people writing more HP is to kill of Harry. Then people cant write about him. They can write about the others if they like just not Harry.

They would be able to write prequels, (although obviously licensing and copyright would be a slight issue) or his time in other classes or the holidays (that aren't in the existing books), and in a world of magic it doesn't take too much imagination to bring back the "dead"...

This isn't like TSR/Wizards of the Coast and their Eberron, Forgotten Realms or Dragon Lance worlds. No one can write within the Harry Potter universe unless express permission is granted by J.K. Rowling. The theory that she would kill off Harry to end his story thread is really moot. If she kills Harry it will be for reasons that suit the story.

Hey mate I´ve read tons of marauders and after hogwarts stuff that aint been endorsed or given permission to write by J.K. Rowling on the web, dunno where u got that info from

That's the law Upright, because you read a few fan-fics on the web doesn't negate my point. And by all intents and purposes, whether she killed off Harry would make little difference when it came to fan-made fiction, so moot point either way.

We're talking about published work here.

Yep. That's why any author producting fan fiction, i.e. on FanFiction.net, could never sell their work -- Rowling holds the copyright. That's why it's called fan fiction; it's fiction written by fans for fans.

ye, but what about other fan fictions? ive read a lot of published fanfics from the sci-fi genre that been published w/o copyright holders permission. for example star trek/wars and sg-1 for one
