Well, if its any consolation, I'm v nervous, can't speak the language and am dreading the plane flight 'cos I keep wondering if anyone's planted a bomb, or in case we crash etc. Plus, we only get 2 spend one day at the beach, and I havta spend the whole weekend with my 'family'. God knows what we're gonna do...

Still, if I get tanned, it'll be worth it... And it only cost £100, which, for 10 days is quite cheap...

don't be nervous Kelsi.... thousands of flights leave the UK every day and if you compare the amount of bomb explosions and plane crashes to the amount of successful flights, you'll see that the chance of it happening to you is fairly minimal.

Like Carkedit, I have flown all around the world. Spain is a beautiful country and don't worry too much about not speaking the language, people are usually helpful. I have a holiday in Greece coming up, and possibly one in China or Samarkand. In addition to that, I have to attend a conference in Vancouver in October, and this will be my first visit to Canada, so I'm looking forward to that. It's just a shame that I couldn't have combined it with the Gatecon, but the dates are a bit too far apart for that. Even if it had been feasible I would imagine that the tickets for Gatecon have all gone by now. so I'll just have to content myself with Wolf SG3 in Heathrow!!!

I was told the other day by a guy who knows heaps of useless information that if you caught one flight everyday it would take 10,000 years before you are involved in a crash!

I must have been on at least 100 flights and I have never been NEAR crashing, turbulance or any other dodgy stuff...call me lucky if you like, but I have been in 3 car crashes and I still drive several times a day. Kinda think I have more chance of being in a car wreck than a plane crash. You'll be cool...enjoy it!

Ohmigod, less than 72 hours!

I'm not really that keen on flying: my best part the landing! I really don't understand why people like lookin out the window tho, it only shows you how high up you are! :alienooh:

Plus I've gotta buy about 50 million postcards for my friends, and send them all...

AND I h8 wearin skirts, so I'll probly melt when I get there...

But hey, @ least I'll get a tan! :evil: ... Maybe make some new friends... :rolly2:
