What drew you to SG1 and what keeps you?

You'll probably get home before the postcards reach their destination!

You won't be able to see much out of the window, just clouds and possibly the ground/ocean way below. But if it bugs you, then don't look, either don't have a window seat or pull the blind down.

You'll have a whale of a time and you'll come home wondering what you were so worried about.

Kelsi.......

Make sure you enjoy yourself...

I could not ever go up to the cockpit as i would probably pass out.... seeing nothing in front of me... ow no.... no thanks...

Kelsi,

You just think of the view below you as a patchwork quilt. It is interesting to look at... and I hate heights but it seems different in an airplane or balloon. Take offs and landings are the worst... chew gum for ears...that helps me but flying isn't really bad.;)

You will enjoy your 'family' and make friends easily over there. one of my cousins went and said that the people ae friendly and warm! AND the beaches are great! You Spanish family are probably wondering what to do if you don't like anything.... and are more worried than you are! Just relax and enjoy!

Kelsi...quit worrying mate!! You'll be fine..you'll get there in one piece and by the time you come to leave you won't wanna leave coz you've enjoyed it so much!!

Carkedit :dead:

You wont wanna come back.. believe me...

I adore Jack too Annette
:D and can you believe I'd never heard of him before SG-1!!:eek4: :eek4: I loved the movie, watched it 100 times and thought I'd give the tv show a look, oh boy..glad I did!!:hjbigeyes :hjbigeyes

what keeps me here

Besides being somewhat of an astronomy lover, I saw the movie in college when it was released and thought it was pretty decent.

As far as the series goes, my nother told me about it when it first aired on Showtime. After a while, I got hooked. I like the way the series brings them in contact with humans, humanoids and outright aliens in the present. I am a huge fan of Teal'c, but I honestly look forward to the banter between O'Neill and Daniel, and also listening to Sam explain how they got into or get out of a pickle.

...and after attending Gatecon this year, I'll continue to watch because they are just a darn good group of people!

same here

saw the movie and the trailers it looked cooooooool oh and danny.............................:)

ha

i thought u knew!i like danny and krycek!lol
ushould see what we've done to the krycek thread!lol

I've seen what you've done to the Krycek thread Chilly.

I have to say though that SG1 and X-files are my two favourite programmes. I am collecting the DVD's and trading cards for SG1 so that shows my dedication to the show.

Hows the collecting going Annette.... any further on

Great thanks Neo.

Have got basic set of SG1 which shows 3 of the seasons. Have also got 9 card Alien set, 5 card Star Set. Have also obtained 5 autograph cards so far - Kawalsky, Frasier, Apophis, Sha're and Bra'tac.

Going good so far.

It's just cool

Umm... I haven't had a chance to read everyones opinions on this topic but I like Stargate because it is a bit of escapism and adventure which I look forward to watching and it gives me a reason to post here! Generally I just think it is cool! And the actors are fun to watch and have a great script to work with. :p :rolly2: :D  ;)

Then again, the first episode I saw was Solitudes. Now what about that made me stay I have no clue.

The first ep I saw was Singularity with the girl, Cassandra, (i think its called that neway) but back then i really wasn't into it. I know this will sound wierd and you will all think im a mental patient or something but i had a dream with Jack sam and teal'c in it (no Daniel he he) and i woke up next morning thinking - Wow I have to watch that!

So now i have to go take my pills and sit in a padded room with a straight jacket on.......bye!

I like stargate cos it's realistic if u get my meaning. You know what they r talking about when they say stuff like 'wormhole' and 'goa'uld' because its simple but really complicated (?) but in star treks thay come out with all this stuff like theres a something something in the warp something and i have no idea what they r all on about!

I also think the characters are cool aswell and thats another reason that kept me watching (after the freaky dream that is!) they're all like opposites. Jacks a military leader, but has no idea about science, sam is a scientist but knows nothin about languages, and Daniel knows hardly any military stuff (but learns more and more each day) but knows 29 languages and is an egyptologist......and teal'c is just cool in his own little way.

I think in strange ways....

I was told the other day by a guy who knows heaps of useless information that if you caught one flight everyday it would take 10,000 years before you are involved in a crash!

Carkedit :dead:

heres some more useless info - you are more likely to win the lottery 14 times in a row than get attacked by a shark, you can fit the entire world population on the isle of wight, and we have enough food on this planet to feed 12 billion people, so no worries about running out of food in the next 50 years ok?

(if we have enough food to feed that many people, why is there so much hunger in the third world?) :(
