Yeah, skydiver, I read that as well! Funny! (She better not do it with Jack tho!) But I was thinking, if two Goa'uld's ... have a kid, then its a harsiesis, yes? But what if two Tok'ra ... had a kid? 'Cos Martouf/Lan'tash and Rosha/Jolinar seemed very much in love... Possible S5 plot??!

Tok'ra and goa'uld are the same spesies. You would have a Tok'Ra Harcesis child. Perhaps with mixed genetic memories. Goa'uld up to one point and then Tok'Ra..Very interesting plot variation for Season 5.

that has been the subject of many a fic...the bad guys(alien and even nid) wanting to get a hold of sam and see if she can mother a harcisis...but as to two tok'ra doing IT and getting pregnant...well if a symbiote can heal cancer isn't it a fairly easy connection to make that the symbiote can prevent ovulation or make the guy...well make him not fertile...anyway i think it's a fairly easy stretch that a symbiote can prevent pregnancy so a harcesis child would have to be a conscious decision between 4 entities, the hosts and they symbiotes...
any folk have contemplated that with the naquadah and the protein marker it might not be possible for sam to have kids. which is a topic that'll probably remain in the realm of fandom cause there's no way in heck i ever see the show dealing with it.

Here's my 2c on this whole situation....(Let me just say I am a NON-SHIPPER)
The way I see it, Firstly, Sam becomeing involved with either Jack or Danny would totally suck. Not only would it ruin the show, but it would get boreing. Let her go out with someone who isn't SG1. Davis seems to be everyone's preference for that (he'd be good). The group dynamic they have as close friends is fantastic and a relationship would just mess it up and ruin the characters.
In solving this argument there is one point that I think is very valid. Fan Fiction. Although we don't want to see S/J getting it together on screen, alot of writers pair them up in Fan Fiction. These can be sometimes be enjoyable to read if you think they should be together. So instead of seeing it on screen you can get it from FF. That way, the non-shippers don't have to see S/J on screen, but shippers can read about it which can be just as good as watching it.
As for the shippers who say they won't watch the show anymore if J/S don't get together, I highly doubt that. Why would you not watch one of the most fantastic SciFi shows of all time just because the two main characters are not 'gettin jiggy with it'? The show has so much more to offer than tbat. If you stop watching it for that reason, then you have missed out on something wonderful.

your opinion is one that i share. along with brad wright, at & rda. according to all 3 of them, s&j just won't happen, at least until the end of the show(not totally their words but my assumption, if they're going to get together it'll be in the finale)

i suggest if you're looking for a specific genre use the search engine and for example, you can call up only shipper fic rated pg or below...
it also has links to heliopolis 2, which is for adults only(nc-17 stuff there)
also in their links pages is the link to the sam/jack relationship archive. i just don't have the addy right off the top of my head. some of the stories are duplicated but some are diff(again there are adult stories there but they're all rated if you don't care for that type)

i didn't realize he was joshua doors, then again i haven't really paid attention to efc for months...
now here's an idea, freya wants jack, anise wants danny (maybe the other way around...) i think i could tolerate tok'ra spice showing up if she was accompanied by aldwin...then everyone but teal'c can get a little 'satisfaction'...and i think coffeecup and jsc would be more than willing to help t-man out.

what exactly does shipper mean?? i keep seeing it and kind of know what it refers to but what is the original meaning??
and adding my 2c on the s/j thing. the way they have it now is the best cause most of the fun is in the anticipation of will they or wont they so i guess that makes me a long term shipper????

I agree, tatter. Anticipation is better (until the last epy, when Sam will probably agree to go fishing).
