Growing up with ST: TOS.

*L* and I've got LOADS and loads more to place. Just haven't figured out the catagories yet OR found the time. And all my notes on McCoy and Nurse Chapel seem to have disappeared (NOT a good thing).
But I really would like to revamp the place. Maybe I'll make that one of my spring projects... hmmmm... over 30 years of Star Trek? A spring project? *L* WHO'M I kidding! *L*

I do want to add fan fiction though. So, I've been going ove my own stuff for starters... but if anyone would like to contribute, I sure would appreciate it...

Uhmmmmm... MyThingLink??? Any suggestions on how I can spruce up the site? *s*

*L* I think I hit the new thread post thingy by mistake. *L*

Thanks Neo, and Peachy. I appreciate it. I think you guys must be the only ones who've visited that site. *L* The counters aren't very encouraging. *L*

Neo, I've got loads and loads of information still to add. I just can't figure out what catagory to put them in, and I'm missing all the files I kept on McCoy and Chapel...

I'm going to try and get back into the swing of things on that site. Soon as I can... *s*

LOL! :D

MacavityCat!! He used to watch it when it first aired religiously... then it went off the air, he got married, had kids... and started watching it with my sister and myself when we were little. But he's not the type of person to collect episodes of things or memorabelia. I'm more the person in the family who does that. He's an artist and puts most of his obsessive energy into things on various artists... and Fellini. He loves Fellini. So I never really put the two together. He'll watch it when it's on... I guess I should have said he "was" a huge fan before I was born. When it originally aired he'd stay in, wouldn't go out, wouldn't answer the phone, etc. for it... but I think he'd kicked the obsession a bit by the time I was born in 1975. ;)

He really likes DS9 though... and Xena... and I'm pretty sure he watches ST TOS when he happens to flip to it.

Am I rambling again? I haven't had my coffee yet and it's 2:24pm here!!

Ta ta!

Now let's see if I can remember everything that was said in those last 10 posts. ;)

I've been to Mac's site, but only the Xena and her Pet Place. I didn't even see a Star Trek reference. Some have accused me of being blind. :D I'll run over there and take a look around.

The 3-D Chess game was great. I know who stole it, but couldn't prove it and the really ironic thing was that it was the daughter of a sheriff in some small town in Massachussettes. I called him on it and got a royal chewing out for even suggesting such a thing.

I know William Shatner is a royal pain, but there isn't anyone who could have pulled off Kirk better than he did. He had the looks, the attitude, and everything else that was needed for the roll. Did you ever read any of those Behind the Scenes books? As much as people have put him down for having an attitude, he had as much fun on the set pulling jokes on Leonard Nimoy as everyone else did.

I did feel kind of sorry of Leonard Nimoy though after the show ended. It was so difficult for him to get other jobs because he was so recognized as Spock. I read his book I Am Not Spock and there are some funny moments in it about what it was like to be that character.

I think I'll go and start some new threads. :D

Cheers,

MyThingLink *LMAO* Uhmmm, you'd better have one heck of a pair of glasses if you think you're gonna find my Trek site over on my Xena site. *L* I don't have any links there for it at all. My Trek site is over on geocities.

http://www.geocities.com/maccat.geo/

I was the original MacavityCat there, but when AOL wouldn't let me work on my page, I couldn't move in, so lost my handle and got stuck with maccat! *L* YUCK! *L*

I can imagine how hard it was for Lenard, but have to say, he did a pretty good job as Paris in Mission: Impossible, and I loved watching the In Search Of weekly shows, if not for anything but to hear his sexy voice! *L*

mc

Well why didn't you say so in the first place. :D I just clicked on it and all I'm getting is a great picture, but nothing else ... no links or anything. When I took a look at the code that's all I see. Are you working on it and changing it around?

BTW I remembered that you asked about posting fan fiction ... YES! Please do. :D

Cheers,

There's a show here called So Graham Norton - kinda like the British equivalent of Leno or Letterman... only more interesting - and William Shatner was on it a few weeks ago. (Woulda taped it for you gals but I doubt either of you can play PAL... will see if I can hunt it down on the web) and he was pretty mischievous. He even accidently broke some collector Kirk toy they had borrowed to show him. All in all, pretty funny stuff.

:D

That programme was soooo funny.... I dont think william knew what to do ???

For you guys int he US.. Graham is a friend of dorothy... and an absolute star... I love him

MythingLink ~ hmmmmm... well, if you went there and found a page that had a great shot of a planet, the U.S.S. Enterprise and the words that said: "Welcome to:" and down at the bottom, "Macavity's World of Star Trek"... I uhmmmm... had been experimenting with Paint Shop Pro and trying to create a new page... but when I uploaded it, previewed it... I realized that the way I set things up wasn't going to allow me to put anything else in WHERE I wanted to *L* Soooooo, it lasted for a grand total of ten minutes! *L*

If you click on it now, it should bring you to an index page set up with each link inside tables. *s*

I think I am going to start to work on the page again. I haven't been there in ages although I've been meaning to get back to it and fix up typo's and such. So, guess that's going to be one of my pet projects. *L*

BTW all, Happy Easter! (hugs)

It takes a while do do these sites... i dont know about u but i cant leave things half done.. i often spends hours trying to upgrade it....

I have just moved over to web hosting with Padders... excellent inexpensive... well worth it..

Neo, I'm pretty much the same way. And it takes HOURS and HOURS and HOURS! *L* Especially when Netscape just locks up on me over on geocities now. It never did that before. So far this morning it locked up on me twice. NOTHING was working. Not Netscape, Not word... and the alt, del, cont only told me that Netscape wasn't responding. I couldn't even "end task"... And with windows98, I really hate having to shut down w/o doing it the proper way.

Next time I go there, I'm going to try MIE and see what happens... Oddly enough, although Netscape seems to lock up after I hit the save function, somehow the information is saved, so I did manage to correct a few typos, spelling errors and get one of the pix to work again.

Hey Neo, I'm going to be moving the Woolfden over to one of padders. His prices are really reasonable considering everything he offers.

Mac, you and I are going to have to get together sometime and talk about this web site thing. I love the picture that you've used and don't understand why you can't add anything to it. Oh and I did try just clicking on it, but it didn't work and when I pulled up your source code it doesn't show it as a link. I'm going to have to get you coding by hand instead of a WYSIWYG editor. :D

Cheers,

Ooo! Ooo! Ooo! Can I help get Mac to code by hand!? :rolly2: (MC... you can flee in terror.... checks watch now!)

And how come I can't see the cool graphic? Or has it already been moved? :( I wanted to see how you were progressing in Paint Shop Pro MC!

Also, when I work on my sites... I have all my files on my computer. I always have stuff on my computer which no one can see online. That way I can play around with my sites for about 200 years without worrying that it looks all funky. Even with my Tripod sites... although I don't use Geocities.

I pay $10 a month for my site - what is padders offering? Just curious... although I actually plan to set up my own server in about a year and a half... ;)

Well i am still a very basic web designer... Just look at my site... LOL.... but Padders deal is very good... i have 50 meg at £6.?? a month...

I am well impressed as he is always there to help whether it via emial or pm....

I think if you have a site you shoulkd move over to him.... not only do u get a great service but you are also helping this site out as well..

Neo! You call that basic?!

Looks pretty high class to me! Very well designed, easy to navigate, custome graphics. It's better than most of the professional sites you see on the www.

My main website - The ScullyXenaverse - is pushing 150MB in size... but I actually have more than just that site on my hispeed account... I think I'm using about 200 to 250MB total...

I miss DS9!! Still cry when I hear the theme song...

MTL~ *L* no, I took it down when I saw what I'd done. I saved the pic and the logo thingy and can load them and stuff separately. As long as geocities doesn't crash my Netscape, I should be fine. *L* It seems to be doing to me what it did when I had AOHell. *L* Except that I'm not booted completely off the computer, just locked up.

oh... *L* And I do code by hand. I don't have an HTML editor... I'm IT! *L*

Ewlyn, now what makes you think I'd run? looking at the dust behind her Me? Run? *L*

Thank You Ewlyn

Thanks for that... means alot to me... I enjoy doing it.... still got a lot to do... or want to do... please send me ideas if u wanna see anything up there..

MTL... ok... here's what I was able to upload now. I don't particularly like it... liked it the other way, and there's gotta be a way to put the pic all together in ONE on PSP, and still be able to add the ender somewhere down on the bottom...

And how do I get rid of the background behind the logo text? I've tried everything that I know of...

any hoo, here's the link http://www.geocities.com/maccat.geo/Welcome.html It's a tester, not up yet.

Neo... what's your URL? I wanna see! *L*

Well folks, it's been a looooooooooooooooooooooong day and I'm sitting here with my eyes at 1/2 mast... so, I bid you all... a fond...

Live long and Prosper

Nitey night.
