Growing up with ST: TOS.

cool... i have a few things i want valueing

Neo, if you are not yet 30 years of age, how did you manage to buy these things? Did you listen to Star Trek in your mother's womb, or did you have a TV set in your pram?

My parents should be bringing the old annuals that they found in their loft in a few weeks, then I'll have a better idea of the condition and age.

Neo, You said an early '70's Star Trek annual could be worth £60 I think, but they were only about £1.50 on e-bay. I think I'd rather hold on to it if that's the case.

I already posted about those books in the 'Merchadise' forum, but I haven't done anything with them, they just went into my loft instead.

We did have a 70's party a few weeks back. We had disco lights, lava lamps and fibre-optic lamps; actually played 70's singles on a turntable; and ate conveinence foods: chicken and chips in a basket, with arctic roll and black forest gateux to follow, prawn cocktails and a fondue to start.

This was followed by a 70's trivia quiz, and a discussion about space-hoppers, clackers, Chopper bikes and pogo-sticks.

We had some tropical cocktails, but were unable to get any of those 5 pint cans of beer.

We also dressed up: I had an outrageous shirt, an afro wig and a medalion, a friend had a rasta wig and hippy-style outfit, my wife was a disco diva, someone else actually had a purple wig, someone else actually made their own psychedelic clothes.

It was a very memorable night. Well worth the effort. You should try it!
