Major season 5 spoilage

CHECK THIS OUT

AND IT QUALIFIES AS MAJOR SPOILERS SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

More Spoilers for Season 5......I can't wait until this season starts. I
just know these will be terrific.

Here we go.......Excerpts from Cult Times.....

We see what happens between Sam and the Sean Patrick Flannery character
(Sam's Lover) . AT says, "I have a man. Of course, at first nobody
believes he exists. He's a bit like 'my imaginary friend'. Actually it's a
great episode for me because everyone thinks that I'm crazy and plays into
the fact that Carter has no life outside the SGC. It plays into the fact
that she never relaxes, so they keep saying things like, 'take it easy',
'rest' and 'go home'. So you get to see her home and she *does* have a
normal life." "There's a huge secret in the garage so don't go buying
confetti just yet."
[YES!!!!]

'2001' ---is what could have happened if the events suggested in 2010
went to the worst case scenario. Carter has yet another hard choice to make.

[Another YES!!!] shoot me i like carter

The Fifth Man --- O'Neill is put in a military situation where he shows
himself
as a one man force. There's a new member of the team identity unknown.
John De Lancie (Q in Star Trek) guest stars.
[i've heard he's colonel someone and signed on for two eps...now if he's half as sarcastic as q it's gonna be a goody :d]

Season opener 'Enemies' - features Apophis and the Replicators.

[oh boy, pops and killer legos]

Threshold --- is about making Teal'c realise who he is and an old friend
helps him
through The Rite of Masuraan, which brings him to the Threshold of Death.
We're going to see Teal'c become First Prime and realise that Apophis isn't
a god.

[coffeecup's gonna be in heaven i think[

Red Sky --- SG-1 finds itself the catalyst in a set of events that could
destroy a planet and hence play right into the hands of the Goa'uld. A very
big ep, in which the planet's population don't want the SGC's help and even
fight against SG-1. It's left to Daniel to suggest that maybe there's more
to their faith than we can conceive.

[i just love moral dilemmas don't you? sounds like a remake of the nox...]

Beast of Burden ---- a key Daniel ep. A close friend is turned into a 'Beast
of
Burden'. It involves a moral argument and at the end the seeds of civil war
are sown which is a consequence certain members of SG-1 have to live with.

[anyone wanna bet chaka gets goaulded?]

Summit ---- a 2 parter in which Daniel gets sent off somewhere to become a
slave. There's a bigger badder Goa'uld beating the hell out of the system
lords. The sacrifice of one of the series favourite characters is the only
way to retrieve a truly dire situation...

[oh boy...big bad @$$ goauld...yummy! and danny as a slave...danielites will be up in arms trying to buy him :D]

The 100th episode will be 'special' and is one of a kind where, "we
truly intend to make fun of ourselves and share that fun with the fans,"
says Brad Wright.

[ok...this one looks like WoO squared]

german magazine article

this is a translation of an interview in a german magazine, translated by someone on the HC list...
it contains various spoilers for about half of season 5

TVH: Tell us, Peter, have you managed to undress any of the main characters
in season 5 so far?

PdL: I'm still working on Michael Shanks. It's pretty difficult to get him to
part with his clothes. But in "Ascension" I managed to get Amanda to wear a
pretty skimpy string top.

[down padders]

TVH: Hello, hello! But I'm really a Teryl Rothery fan; can't you arrange
anything in that department?

PdL: Yes, she's cute, too. In "The Curse" she missed her step in one scene,
and a button gets undone. You can see some action there.

TVH: Where these things are concerned, your memory is remarkable.

PdL: Thanks, I'm working on it. I take my job really very seriously.

TVH: I have been told you like to leave "traces" in the show. What's that
supposed to mean?

PdL: It's just a gag. Sometimes I say something off-camera, so only my voice
is being heard, or you can see my hands. I leave my initials somewhere where
they can be seen, walk through the scene or appear as a silhouette. Alfred
Hitchcock did the same thing.

TVH: What can you tell us about season 5?

PdL: Season four ended with O'Neill & co. in their space ship as well as
Apophis and his ship being stranded somewhere in space, with none of them
knowing where they are.

The first episode of season 5 shows us Apophis, who managed to capture
Teal'c, putting him into a sarcophagus. In the course of his reawakening,
Teal'c loses all knowledge of his "defection" and his fight against Apophis
with SG-1. He is again loyal to Apophis. (Nothing about how they solve the
problem of being stranded, sorry.)

The next episode "Threshold" is about the attempt to free Teal'c and to
"de-program" him. In this episode, Teal'c's mentor Bratac plays an important
part. You may have heard that many people claim to have seen their whole life
before their inner eye shortly before they died. Bratac takes Junior" out of
the pouch and puts Teal'c in something similar to this condition. Then he
uses some alien technique to "step in" at exactly the right moment. This
episode shows us lots of flash backs to the time of Teal'c's youth, 50 - 60
years back when he was still a young "green" Jaffa-cadet and served under
General Bratac, who was then First Prime of Apophis and fighting Ra. This
episode sort of takes place before Stargate, the movie.

TVH: Will Ra be played by the same actor as in the movie?

PdL: Ra himself doesn't appear in the episode, but we see Apophis, Bratac and
Teal'c fight his Jaffa. Christopher Judge used the time between shooting the
two seasons to prepare for this episode. He is in top form physically. He
looks almost a bit like "The Rock". There are insights into Jaffa training
and we get to see a training fight between Teal'c and Bratac. BTW; we shot
some scenes in the snow in which he (Teal'c) is naked from the hip up.
(Oh-oh!!!!!
*G*)

[someone pass coffee & jsc some water please ]

TVH: Which brings us back to the topic. His female fans will be delighted.

PdL: The next episode, "The Fifth Man", will also be interesting. We will
introduce a new character, who is a "memory chameleon". When he touches you,
you think you're seeing a person you know and not an alien. So he is the
fifth man in the four-people team of SG-1 who no one except the team seems to
know. In this episode, O'Neill gets stranded behind enemy lines, fighting a
new Jaffa fraction under an unknown system lord (question is unknown to whom?
The other system lords …then it could be Osiris… or us… then we can
speculate again.) In this episode we get the largest number of corpses ever
in the show. O'Neill is really trying to outdo The Terminator. We kill
everybody - twice.

TVH: To make really sure?

PdL: Yes. Dion Johnstone plays the fifth man, Lt. Tyler. Dion was Novar in
"Rules of Engagement" and the Unas Chaka in "The First Ones". He will appear
again later in the season as both Novar and Chaka will play a role again.

[ok novar...so the return of the rules of engagement kids?]

TVH: That sounds very interesting. There seem to be lots of small story arcs
which get continued from time to time.

PdL: Yes, we will have the Unas again, too, in the episode "Beast of Burden".
We are going to show a planet where the humans have made the Unas their
slaves and are keeping them like some sort of "beast of burden". I like the
Unas, that's why I contributed something to one of the authors' conferences.
Brad Wright in his infinite wisdom liked the idea and the story of the Unas
revolt was developed from it. It was shot in the former setting of a
well-known TV-
western show close by. All we had to do was add a few facades to get a
pre-industrial 18th century look.

BTW, Cassandra is going to be back, too. She is hitting puberty and that
means
complications. You know, aliens are always a bit different….

TVH: Sure!

PdL: She shows attacks of uncontrollable telekinesis, and her health
deteriorates rapidly. So, SG-1 go back to her home world, trying to find
something that could help her.

TVH: And what's going to happen to Apophis?

PdL: He got so powerful that the other system lords are afraid of a change in
the balance of power, and so they decide to band together to solve the
problem.

TVH: Well, yes SG-1 has already bumped off several of them.

PdL: That's right, but in "The Fifth Man" a new system lord appears, and our
heroes have to learn that there are some pretty cool guys out there who they
haven't met yet. There are still quite a few of the Egyptian gods that we
haven't used yet. For example, we could meet Bastet or Anubis.

TVH: Wasn't Anubis killed in the movie?

PdL: Yes, but that was just Ra's First Prime. He seemed to like the name and
the jackal's mask so much that he adopted the name, but he wasn't the god
himself. We are probably going to ignore that. With Bastet we would have a
second attractive goddess, after Osiris.

TVH: I'm letting my imagination run wild here. System-lady catwoman?

PdL: You think the way I do.

End of transcript part one. This was mainly about the season 5 episodes.

This info is from another part of the article, where the interviewer
describes his arrival on the set. They are shooting the episode "Red Skies":

SG-1 visit a new world populated by people who very much resemble the Amish
in their way of life. Unfortunately, activation of the Stargate causes a
variation in the sun's radiation. Thus, all life on the planet will soon die.
SG-1 has a problem. They don't have the technology to help the people, the
Amish don't want to leave the planet, using the forbidden technology, and the
Asgard, who are the protectors of this world, are absent again for some
unknown reason.

[now just how the heck is a stargate gonna muck with the sun?]

I'll see what I can do about the other part of the interview and the rest of
the article tomorrow.

But, I hopes they do change the actress who plays Cassie, or at least make her act more like her age. I am about three years older than her and I don't go round doing finger paintings.

Looking forward to the ep (and all of season 5!) though!
:)
Yes but you didn't spend most of your life on another planet! Did you?:alienooh:
