how can you tell what season it is by the uniform. i mean with carter its easier, change from capt to major but... give me the scoop how do ya do it???

YKYBWTMSGW...you see that the five dvd set is coming out soon and you frantically start thinking about what gift-giving holiday is coming up so you can ask for that. Mother's Day is only two and half months away!! My honey ordered it this morning for me since he knows what a gate-geek I am! I almost fainted when he said it would arrive in three to five days!!!....after it is actually released in APRIL! Darn! So I have to wait another month or so. OK, I can handle it...
 
You know youre addicted when you buy a DVD player just so that you can see Children Of The Gods int its full uncut form. Which, incidentaly has never been shown on British TV. Heeeeeheeeheee
 
How can I tell?

They keep changing his ribbons. In first season he was wearing two ribbons that were only issued if you were actually stationed in Vietnam during the conflict. In second season, they disappear.

I think someone figured out if Jack was supposed to be 41 end of 1st/beginning of 2nd, he'd have been about 15 or 16 at the very end of the war and quite probably not have recieved those medals.

I'm a military nit-picker. Comes from being a senior NCO for too long and having to make sure 'my kids' were dressed right. ;}

what else does his ribbons stand for that you can tell.
i know they made mention of him being in desert storm
and granada from different shows-- what other campaigns do they show?? also like with sam-do they show her being in desert storm they made mention of that in cotg, didn't they??

i like to nit pick too- that's why i like this show so much they are great on details

Thanks, actually the credit goes to my dad. He got the letters from a hardware store and brought a piece of MDF from which he cut out the Point of Origin.

I have a huge Stargate poster on one of my walls and then the other has sg-1 autographs and heaps of other sg-1 stuff. my mum is going to make me a stargate patchwork quilt during winter. it's gonna be so cool.
 
ShelbyS where did ya get yer Stargate poster. Ive never been able to find one? Maybe us poor Brits just cant get them. :(
 
i'd love a big sg 1 poster as well, have looked everywhere, none to be found. you'd think with something as popular as stargate, they'd be plenty of posters and things around...peachy

That quilt sounds wonderful! Is your Mother making her own pattern... what type of quilt, Patch peice, applique and wahtdesign will be on it?
