BTW) I haven't fully checked out what the hotel has to offer.
Does it have a gym?

Hello and good morning to all of my fellow Gate Travelers!

I am going to Gatecon and this is my first convention since the days of the early Star Trek conventions of the 70's! I guess that pretty much gives my age away as well! Anyway...I managed to snag a VIP ticket and I am booked into the hotel for the duration...I even managed to work a week off from work! I am very excited about going but I have to admit that I am a little apprehensive about going somewhere without my customary friend in tow! Therefore I would love to hook up with any of you who are planning to attend!

Helen, I will be at Gatecon, and staying in the hotel from night of the 19th until the 27th September. I would be delighted to touch base with you...... I am flying in from the UK but via Dallas on the 19th where I have a meeting to attend. So I should arrive about 10 pm. My name is Anne Selby, and if you check at the desk they should tell you my room number.

I will be alone too, but I suspect we won't be for too long!

No problem as far as I am concerned Sarah..... I would have gone earlier had it been possible but I have too many work commitments! The only reason I can make Vancouver this time is because I have an interview scheduled there for the 25th!

My handle for the Gatecon is the same as I have here on Ascifi, i.e. my name Anni..... For Wolf I will be at the Heathrow Park from the Friday afternoon!

Spooky, I am not far from you...... Fleet in Hampshire.... As I have stated I am not going with anyone, just on my own and meeting up with whoever is there. I've never been to one before, although by the time November comes I will have attended Gatecon.
