I heard that Porthos gets some lines in 'Cold Front'. Is it true that we hear him bark? 
Trek Today. I think it was in the episode spoilers.
The latest "SevTrek" cartoon is a Porthos one.
"Where no dog has gone before."
It shows him marking a tree on a 'Strange new world" while T'Pol, Tucker and Archer look on. You are invited to insert your own quotes about whether this violates some non-interference directive?

Dogs in future series?
Assuming that when Enterprise ends they'll do another series, would you want to see a dog onboard?

I'm not as sure as Neo whether I would want to or not.
What I can say is that people will always want to have animals as pets. Whether those pets are Dogs or Tribbles is pure speculation. I read an article on the net by someone who's argument was that people would definitely take pets with them to keep them company, but that they would never take hunting dogs like Archer's Beagle, which require exercising regularly, rather they would take the little yappy dogs that you can keep in an apartment all day, ideal for a spacecraft. I have to agree with that sentiment, but I'm more of a cat person myself.
