Dogs in Space?

Some more questions/ observations:

Who walks Porthos for Archer? Where do they walk him? And (just for Annette) do they have a pooperscooper?

Do Klingons take Targs into space? (I mean as pets -- I think that an upcoming episode shows them as a food source!)

I guess he gives that job to all the ensigns. ;)

Pooperscooper (hehe) hadn't thought of that Dave. It is probably a lowly job for some poor Ensign. :(

I'll take your word for it Dave. Can't remember that far back. What year did 'TOS' start? 1965/1966 I was in minus figures then, a twinkle in my dads eye. Plus I was never keen on 'TOS'. With a ship called SS Beagle it could've been an attempt to tempt dogs into space. Hehehe!!!!!!!!!

Do you remember the 'Muppet show' -- 'Pig's in Space'? It was a kind of Star Trek spoof, with Miss Piggy as a Yeoman.

How about 'Dogs in Space' - the adventures of Porthos on the SS Beagle?

'Pigs in Space' was sooooooooooo funny. Loved it. Muppets is supposed to be coming back to our screens soon.

Dogs in Space would be brilliant. Porthos as the star. hehehe!!!!!!

I've jut read the whole of this thread again :D

To return to Porthos, for a moment, in 'Silent Enemy' ENT
After the aliens return to the ship and board it, Archer is called to the bridge, what did he do with Porthos? Porthos was trotting along after Archer and Trip just before that, they made a point of showing him.
Did Archer just leave the poor dog standing in the corridor? Did he send Porthos to sit with Chef? Does Porthos know how to get back to the Captain’s quarters on his own? But we see the door shut, and there is no time for him to follow. Is he capable of opening the door by himself? What happened to the our favourite Beagle pup? Was he really left whimpering and all alone? Poor Porthos! Is there still an animal protection society in the 22nd century? In space, no one can hear you bark. . .

Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!! That is sooooooooooooo funny.

Poor Porthos. Being left all alone perhaps whimpering for his master. :(

How could Archer just leave his loyal companion? Porthos put aside fear for his own safety to follow his captain, and Archer just left him. How could he!!
