I'd forgotten about the Tom's Songbook! I've read that too a long time ago, it was good too! I could never face The Silmarilion though.

Amazon are not in my 'best books' at the moment though. My sister has been waiting for a book from me for 3 months as a birthday present. To be fair it is the publishers fault (it has gone out of print, and they have put back the reprint date) but a little more communication from Amazon would have helped. They just kept saying it would be another 3-5 weeks more, with no explanation. I have now found out it will be February 2002.

That is definitley bad PR! I will remember that. Thanks.
btw, I ordered a Jacque Brel CD from them, and they sent me the wrong one..so I guess they need some straightening out!

 I bought the first Stargate SG-1 DVD (before they released the box set, they had disc one for sale) from Amazon. It was so scratched up, it wouldn't advance beyond the MGM logo.

I sent it back and got a free replacement, but I bought the box set at Best Buy, to prevent the same thing from happening again.

This is why I dislike buying online. It took near 4 months to get my 'The 10th Kingdom' set from NBC.com, and forever to get my final disc from Amazon.

I say, go to the store! Much nicer.

BTW, the book is at the Library, waiting for me, calling to me...

Morrigan... Morrigan... MORRIGAN! WAKE UP AND GET ME!

Thank you, Morrigan, for sharing. It's strange to me that we have so much trouble buying online, but my partner doesn't, but then he is a real sorcerer.

Some people have all the luck. A former teacher and friend of mine buys ALL kinds of stuff off of Ebay, and she has no problems whatsoever.

Oh well, I suppose I should be happy I even have money to spend anymore :p

Tis Ok to quote lines so long as u dont quote the whole book!

awwwwwww...i have no money either....in fact i owe my brother £10, my parents £25 near enough, and god knows how many other ppl money! count yourself lucky!

BORED of the rings not quite right bits.....

BORED of the rings...........poems and wierd parts

1)
We boggies are a hairy folk
Who like to eat until we choke
Loving all like friend and brother
And hardly ever eat each other

Ever hungry ever thirsting
Never stop till belly's bursting
Chewing chop and pork and mutton
A merry race of boring gluttons

Sing: Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble
Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble

Boggies gather round the table
Eat as much as you are able
Gorge yourself from moon till noon
(don't forget your oplate and spoon)

Anything Edible we've got dibs on
And hope we all die with our bibs on
Ever gay we'll never grow up
Come! And sing and play and throw up

Sing: Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble
Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble

2)
This ring, no other is made by the Elves
Who's pawn their own mother to grab it themselves
Ruler of creeper, mortal and scallop
This is a sleeper that packs quite a wallop

The power almighty rests in this Lone Ring
The power, alrighty, for doing your own thing
If broken or busted it cannot be remade
If found send to Sorhed (the postage prepaid)

3)
Snorting, sporting! Speeding through the arbor
Pushing till the folk you burn toss you in the harbour!
Screeching like a dying loon, zooming like the thrush!
Follow me and very soon, your mind will turn to mush
Higher than the nowhere birds, grooving in the air
We'll open up a sandal shop, where everyone will share
Flower folk are springing up, wearing bead and boot
And if you down me u can stick a flower up your snoot!
To love and Peace and Brotherhood! We can all snort a toast!
And if the heat is on again, we'll all split to the coast!

i like the last one :rolly2:
