Dr. Carter / Dr. Mckay

lol, texane!!

no something heroic, like danny. he could fall through the gate into a black hole, and there could be one of those scenes where sam was trying to pull him back, and her grip slips and she's left with her arm out and she collapses on the floor crying coz hes dead and she only got to sleep with him once.....

okay, so i have an overactive imagination......

No, I want to give him the most painful death I can come up with, like ... zat him once .... wait a little ... zat him a second time .... wahahahahaha ... and then .... disintegrate him!!!

Or hit by an UNFORTUNATE staff-blast!!!! Hehehehehe!!!

May he rest in ... p..........OBLIVIAN!!! :rolly2:

Falcon Horus ;)

I think McKay should get some Sam action

Yes, I think they should do an episode where the sub-plot has Sam take pity on McKay and takes him off for a mercy boink. It turns out that he was a virgin and the act not only clears up his repellant personality, it cures his allergies and makes him blossom.

Sam, on the other hand, discovers he has a lengthy ...er, resume, and figures heck, maybe the guy has his er...good points, after all. Hey, a gal can't get by on nothing but blue Jello, and Jack's gone all snaky, and she probably wants to have a kid with an impressive IQ someday, not a rather dumb Harcises..

Hey, ya gotta admit, it would be more fun watching this than Jonas eating bananas and watching the weather channel.

Leah;)

Now I asked y'all . . .

in a different thread if y'all thought it was time for a little shippiness by the fourth epy (ship? a mother ship? :ticking:), and one of the choices was yes, it was about time someone was interested in Sam, and got interested right in O'Neill's face . . . I thought it was a great choice, but y'all left me alone out there . . . :crying:

But NOT McKay! (can we kill him yet, can we, now, Now, NOW!!!!?) :angryfire

Why don't you take him home & lock him in your closet so that he's your personally love slave & the rest of us don't have to see him:evil: ...you'd also be saving his life, what with all these staff weapons & zats going...missing...:D

In all seriousness...

You know, I was re-watching McKay's original appearance in Season 5 yesterday, and as I watched him interacting with Sam, it suddenly struck me that he's actually a better 'fit' with Sam, in fictional terms, than Jack ever was.

He's her intellectual equal (and in some cases, her superior). He challenges her to try harder, if only out of anger and frustration. He isn't in perpetual awe of her intellect.

He also makes the very interesting and *accurate* analysis that although Sam has brilliant intuitive knowledge, she has a tendancy to leap to wild conclusions and theories with it, which sometimes lead to disaster (ie: RED SKY). He understands her, even if he is anti-social and undersocialized.

But that undersocialization is the very thing that makes him different from the run-of-the mill romantic interest or heroic TV character. Physically, she's his superior. He's hypoglycemic, allergic and probably useless in combat or overly physical situations. His dialogue is incredibly entertaining and clever, no matter how irritating he is.

I find myself fervently wishing that they had made hapless McKay the 4th, new member of SG-1 instead of bland Jonass.

sounds like you're describing Danny. He was quite a nurd & a whimp when we first met him. Funny how he evolved into a rambo ...well after being killed & hurt & left behind so on & so on in the first few seasons.

oh & Sam & Jack FOREVER!!!!!!!! Where did that Zat go...better hide him in your closet fast!

Bizarro7, if they had made McKay :dead: the fourth member of SG-1....:alienooh:......I would have either killed myself or never watched a single Stargate-epi ever again. I hate that guy. Jonas isn't much either but he....he's way better than that McKay-guy :dead:. And besides Jonas resembles Daniel more than Mc...you know who I mean.

Grrr....Mc.....Kay!!!!!!!! WHERE'S MY ZAT???? Grrrrr.....

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

i agree with every part!!!! thats what ive been saying! someone agrees with me! yay!!!! !!!!!!

blech

I'll give Sam credit. She showed more restraint than I ever could.

McKay like Danny?!

McKay like Danny? I don't *think* so! About the only thing those two ever had in common was great intellect. Daniel may have occasionally been sarcastic if the situation suited, but he was never chronically irritating or smartmouthed. He did not hold his colleagues in open contempt; he did not have trouble with social interactions.

As for the 'rambo Daniel' act in later seasons, this was a combination of lazy writing (the writing crew has shown a remarkable reluctance to go into anything resembling the intellectual side of the show that was so prominent in the first 3 seasons...no ancient history, nothing) and also Shanks pushing for an evolution of his character into a more macho military framework. Frankly, I didn't like it, and neither did a lot of the fans. What set Daniel Jackson apart was his intelligence and his emotional involvement, and how we are supposed to accept old 'Banana Boy' as a replacement is still completely beyond me. Sorry.

Leah:rolleyes:
