New SG-1 team

Um...extra man power? He could learn some of the less well known languages that Danny doesnt know (which would be easy right with his brain/memory thing?)...

I wonder if the new hock'tar Jonas has anything to do with trying to give him a reason to sick around?

Oh, I think having Jonas and Daniel arguing over the exact interpretation of an inscription could be entertaining once in awhile.

And why should any two experts have the same opinion about the use of a particular artifact?

Jonas: Its a floor-wax
Daniel: Its a dessert-topping.
Teal'c: You are both incorrect. It is indeed both a floor-wax and a dessert-topping.
Jack: Gotta love those Goa'uld. So practical.

:D

Keep Jonas!! He's a cool guy!!

Daniel is welcome but not if they kick Jonas off the team.

Greetz, Falcon Horus ;)

sigh, if only they would:rolleyes: still no one wanting to kill of Jonas, that's great:D

woohoo Jonas got 2 more votes to be the 5th man:D ...still no killers out there...d'oh, just looked again, one person wants to kill him:(

Oh me me me , wait no i didnt

^edit, sorry all about that comment i was just joking, ill try to be careful in the future:(

whoa there tim - you need to seriously rethink that post. talking about the characters is one thing but please don't forget that the actors are real live human beings.

Tim, you may want to rethink your post. I don't personally care for MS, but I don't want any harm to come to him.

Talk like that is what resulted in security being hired for some conventions with MGM honestly afraid something 'bad' would happen.

As a matter of fact, it'd greatly make my day if Sumaru took off and he bagged stargate to go off and star on his own series.

Tim, I edited your post. Please refrain from such comments in the future. You can rant about Daniel or every other character on TV, but I don't want to see personal attacks here.

I know you thought you made a joke and I hope I wasn't too harsh, but inflames towards other people is definately something I don't wanna see. Just be more careful in the future...

I voted to kill off Quinn, but only because that was the only alternative to keeping him around. :( As I see it, nothing's changed. Quinn is still the guy who tried to blacken Dr. J.'s name to save his own reputation, stole, betrayed yadda, yadda, and I wouldn't trust him to look after my last Rollo...

Personally, if he really must hang around once Dr. Jackson returns, then I'd like to see him show his true colours as a Colonan spy or a villain with his own hidden agenda. He might actually be interesting then, and I'm sure CN would get a real kick out of it. Villains are so much more fun to play, and he could then develop a character of his own rather than being stuck with one that's been mangled about to fit the hole left by Dr. J. :(

So, if there are any important people reading... :D

Best wishes,
Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut has made some good points. JQ might make a more interesting villain once DJ returns, but the writers have worked so hard on making him an acceptably "nice guy" that Collanan spy would seem pretty dated. He could be disgruntled by being pushed aside for the returned Daniel and thus pushed into his own agenda, perhaps even turn to work for NID. Just an idea.

Still I like the idea of him arguing expert to expert with DJ over every translation and artifact.

Failed there then, didn't they? ;)

Oh, I don't know ~ planted in S.G. -1 as a mole and passing info. back to his people. His 'escape' with the naquadria at the end of the M-word was suspiciously easy but, with everyone in a state of deep distress over Daniel, of course no one was going to look too deeply into it.

Yes, that could work. :)

Aaarrrgghhh! No! That would be just too painful to watch. :disturbed Like watching Schliemann or Evans or Howard Carter discussing the finer points of archaeology with a kid with an encyclopaedia in hand. :errrr: No, delenda est Quinn. :D

Best wishes,
Hatshepsut

A Humble Plea

O Great Hatshepsut!

What may this mere mortal, this poor misplaced alien do to win your forgiveness? Jonas' sins are not of his own making, but are those of the writers and producers, at whose mercy his fate lies.

Will you not add your voice to intercede for him? Have pity on him and do not give him over to dark forces nor demand that his life be sacrificed in atonement for past deeds that were not of his making.

There are many who loved Daniel and mourned his loss, cursing the man who blackened his name and brought him to death (well, almost death -- something almost but not quite like death -- ok, well, transcendence which is reversable in the malleable world of the writers). Yet we have come to appreciate Jonas' smile and good humour, his devotion and his bravery.

We have found it in our hearts to forgive. Surely, mighty Queen, you have it in you to as much.

Your humble servant (and professional groveller :D),
