Moral Support Needed Here...

update

Weight has yo-yo'd a bit, but between my nurse clinician and I we've figured it out: I'm pre-menopausal. So, another thing to deal with, but that's okay. I spent last weekend working security at a Ren Faire in 90 degree F weather and did fine. Was on my feet something like 18+ hours non-stop with no problem. Get to repeat that the next two weekends, but I couldn't do it last year.

Also got my lab work back and things look great. My cholesterol has dropped back into normal ranges and triglycerides and LDH are great. All the other labs are fine as well. My clinician is most happy, as am I.

More energy, more endurance [even though I've been cheating a bit on the diet with fresh fruit and vegs like fresh corn], feet, hips, knees and back don't hurt any more. This has been a very positive life change and I'm glad I did it.

I know I won't be at my target weight at Gatecon, but that's okay. I'll be able to enjoy myself and that's what counts. :D

My loss has still been pretty low on the whole. Managed to lose 2 pounds last week (first time in ages!) but I don't think I've lost more than a few grams this week.

Part of the problem is it's so unbelievably hot in London at the moment. I've not been doing as much exercise as I'd like.

It's nearly impossible for me to reach target for Gatecon now. Ah well, I've lost quite a bit anyway.

Wrote that Friday, August the 8th. Which is a day I will never forget! Next day I'd lost 2 pounds in weight, which is a rate I kept up for the next 4 days. 6 days later I reached target having lost 10 pounds. I've lost a few more since then, though I haven't weighed the last couple of days, so I don't know where I am right now.

Before anyone gets excited: starting that Friday I've gone through total hell. I've had a very severe bout of food poisening that nearly put me in hospital (in fact I think I probably should have been in). I've been through a lot of pain and am still very weak. I'm still having difficulty getting my system to accept food.

I am getting better though. And still determined to hike up that mountain in a few weeks. *G*

The diet has sort of gone out the window for some reason... carbs are about all I can eat right now!

Ye-Ouch!

Let you body tell you what it wants right now, RG. it knows best. The diet can come back online when things settle down.

Hooray made it, reached the 30lbs right on cue and then passed it, but only by one so as of this morning's measuring I am 31lbs down. Whoopee, I love this WOE. Next stop 40lb mark by Christmas.

Way to Go!

Congratulations, Marianne! :rolly2:

Congratulations! You've done brilliantly!

My current situation... diet has pretty much gone out the window! For one thing, the bug never totally cleared up, so I've had problems eating all this time. Good news is I've just got a second course of antibiotics and it seems to be working.

Really annoying thing is that I put all that weight back on! However eating 'sensibly' and running around like a headless chicken getting ready for Gatecon I do seem to be losing again at the moment. Maybe some of it was bloating due to the bug... I don't know.

In case anyones interested... they found a 'gram negative' bacteria (whatever that means), but they've sent it on somewhere else to get identified. And the last week I've also had my computer break down totally (£65 to get it repaired) and the doctor sent me for a neck x-ray. Hope fate doesn't throw me any more surprises! I'm flying tomorrow and I don't have the time!

Have a good flight! And hope you fully recover soon!

See you in Vancouver!

Ouch!

Life seems to be doing that to folks right now. Good flight. Journey Safe. See you in a bit.
