As there is in Princess Mononoke (1997), an anime made by a studio known for its classic 2D animation. There's quite a bit of 3D in Demon Slayer.
Some of them, certainly. Have you watched Beastars? That's fully 3D, and I think the style works well. You've already mentioned Dorohedoro. But you need a team that knows what they're doing, and (I assume) money. My problem is with those fully CGI anime. They’re uncanny.
I did watch Beastars (the first season). I don't agree with its politics, so I refuse to watch/read the rest, but I admit that the CGI works. Some of them, certainly. Have you watched Beastars? Nope, not good enough for a rewatch. I remember some good bits later on, but not enough to be worth the slog.I found Last Exile on Crunchyroll , and since I have fond memories of watching it back about 2007, thought I'd give it another go.
I recommend Summertime Render. Things escalate fast, and soon you find yourself dying to solve the mystery. I agree that it shows some unnecessary naughty stuff though.Another good episode of Heavenly Delusion, but maybe a bit underwhelming as a season closer. I wasn't sure it would be be the final episode right up until the ending. It didn't really resolve anything (that we hadn't already deduced). Annoying that I have to wait another year or two for more, assuming it ever comes.
I had a look at Summertime Rendering, but a couple of tired anime cliches in the first couple of minutes put me off. I hear very good things about it, though, so I might give it another chance.
How fast does the main character escalate to anything resembling a personality? I gave it another couple of minutes. Maybe I'll watch two minutes a week and see how far that gets me.I recommend Summertime Render. Things escalate fast
I am way too big a pedant for most anime. I tried watching this once, and got to the first interior shot. "How are there that many candles? WHO LIGHTS THEM ALL??" Gave up in disgust. I've possibly missed out on quite a lot that way.Castlevania

In the meantime, I started a rewatch of Heavenly Delusion, while I wait for the first volume of the manga to arrive.
