Origins within Midkemia

Arr!! All these god talks remind me to much of Religious Education at School!!!:)

Remember reading in one of the Serpentwar books that Nakor suggested that Pug could have created the City Forever in the future. And that is why its there at the start

I think the idea of Pug creating it in the future may well end up being true, as we can already see Pug's manipulating the past with his box of notes.

I'll be contradicting myself here, but this would be a big undertaking in Pug's part in the future. The place is huge and no one with that era of history if we compare it with our own could do it. I still believe Pug did it, but surely the whole world of Midkemia would advance by ages. Pug would certainly be powerful by that time... it scares me

Yeah, but then again maybe he didn't. There could be alien races with organised magicians similar to the tsurani who formed it if say, they wanted to study the world! Pug could have had a lot of help as well, and possibly some kind of spell which carried on building after he left.

We could all be looking at this in the wrong way, I mean just because its in the Feist universe doesn't mean a current character did it, I mean look at the hall of the worlds, who created that?

The point I'm trying to make I guess is that there is so much unexplained and it will probably remain so...

So the more the better to discuss it! We simply cannot be wrong, as there is no right

Yeah thats what I like about discussion the fact that froma couple of references people can come up with some such varied ideas. It's facinating I guess. I did actually suggest an alternative to pug.
We know that as far as Tomas can remember the Valheru didn't create it and it can't be touched by the gods and is outside time and space so....

I'm thinking it could be a spaceship of some sort (not kidding). It is created so far in the future and sent back by the most powerful wizard of all time: Magnus!!! :D

I agree Vencar, its great just seeing what everyone else thinks of the Feist universe and the different conclusions people draw even from the same events.

That's my reckoning too. I've grown fond of Magnus, i think he will become the best wizard. Something is going to happen to him in the next book i think; this will make him very powerful.

Just had a brainstorm and i reckon Jorna, lady Clovis, isn't dead. Nakor didn't kill her in the context, he vanished her. Even if he says she's dead, Nakor isn't always right and Feist didn't right straight afterwards: she's dead. Reckon she's gonna be active soon, but there you go!

Could well be, I'd not thought about that. I think she's a gonna though, although perhaps she'll do a Macros and become a 'maid' as opposed to gardener?

I don't know, I hope she is dead and Feist gets a completely new villain.

Suppose i could be wrong! I usually am but i had a real good vibe when i read that part again.

And Nakor said after engulfing her: i wish i could have known how to do that ages ago but i didn't. Surely he could have killed her ages back, so it could be something more

Yeah I know what you mean, but Feist has already got Varen/Sidi who keeps coming back to life, so I think Jorna/Clovis doing it would be a little pointless.

True true, I'm more convinced but not totally! I spose killing someone isn't really very, Nakor either in a way?

Not really, thinking back I don't actually recall Nakor killing anyone...I mean in Prince of the Blood he was "dodging" and running around and using subterfuge to escape people...
