The Discworld Diaries

Day ten:

Nothing arrived. Not even an e-mail in where the appologized for their silly e-mail of yesterday. If Mom hadn't confiscated my antrax hobbykit I'd send them a little package.

I'd like to know who Marky is ordering from.
Proxis they's called. They're from Belgium, might explain it all.

Try using the Book Depository. They're cheaper than Amazon and stuff gets to me here in Australia within 5-7 days.

OOOH!
Sounds painful! All those sharp corners! ;)

Day eleven:

Nothing arrived. Yet. But my gut says tomorrow. It says "food," too.

Alright...now I'm getting worried.

I mean, a Pratchett book is a terrible thing to delay.

Day twelve:

My gut was wrong. No, it did need food, silly. The wrong part was about the books. There's no books today, I'm going to eat my hat if they arrive tomorrow.

Yes, Lee Harvey Oswald.

That's what I thought, too. And it happens to be what the government wants us to believe. I better not reveal what I found out about Area 51...

You know Marky, if you said the books arrived today, I'd be genuinely surprised!:p

I take it you've tried the old "harrass them repeatedly until they either issue a refund and apology or give you free stuff" route?
Anyway, given the popularity of Pratchett, there may well be a postal worker reading it right now ;)

Day thirteen:

Everyone saw this coming from a mile off, but me. Today two of the eight books arrived... And The Colour Of Magic wasn't of them...

*sighs*

A fitting place to mention Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK as he used a magic bullet!
Dont you people know ......it was aliens, those Lizards a certain former sports star keeps going on about. Or with Lister's help he shot himself! He was the man on the grassy knoll!:D

Mummbles insanley to self as he returns to the bunker.

Oh by the way I would recomend reading Mort first I didnt find the first one that good the second one was better. Mort was my first and still I think my fondest memory. But dont listen to ramblings of a conspiracy theorist, have fun. I would have read the first book they sent me meself I admire your self control!!!!!:D

It contains a foreword stating the things which have gone before in Witches Abroad, so if you read that you're probably ok. Its best to read those 2 in order though.

Day fourteen:

It's been two weeks and I still haven't read a single word. Today being Sunday, no mail will arrive, but tomorrow The Colour Of Magic will arrive. It's written in the stars!

It seems that everything is written in the stars... in which case, so will The Colour of Magic. In which case, you can read it in the stars!

Have you phoned up and complained yet?

Couldn't you just have bought the first couple at your local bookshop, Marky?
Then you could have read those whilst waiting for the rest.:D

hey all. pitty bout your problem marky, i was same when i bout Rincewind Trilogy..nothing arrived for 2 weeks, rung em mind and got my money back, they fed me the line that the book has been discontinued..still took em 10 days to send money back mind..and it was on Amazon too
