The Discworld Diaries

Eric is the shortest Rincewind book. I quite enjoyed it but it only takes half a day to get through. It mainly contains elements from Faust, Aztec civilization, and the battle of Troy

Day fifteen:

If one person, A, sends two packages, i and ii, from point Y to one person, B, at point Z using for both packages company X, and ships both packages off at the same day, logic tells me they should both arrive on day P, yeah? Guess what...

It contains a foreword stating the things which have gone before in Witches Abroad, so if you read that you're probably ok. Its best to read those 2 in order though.

I read Witches Abroad a while before Lords and Ladies. So I must have been OK without knowing it.:)

Day sixteen:

I thought I was the least logical person on this sad, little planet, turns out the people at Proxis are. Bah.

Day seventeen:

I'm so excited! Today the Colour Of Magic finally arrived! The real adventure will start now. Well, after I went to the bathroom...

Looks like it. I definitely prefer the Josh Kirby covers, they're so detailed and strange!

I hope you like enjoy the Colour of Magic, Marky. I really like the earlier books, especially the ones with Rincewind. He's great :D

I thought it may have been, as after I posted my last message, I noticed that it was The Color of Magic.

I definitely prefer the chaotically colourful uk covers. The original ones, not the new lot.

I was trying to decide whether to get the bright, colourful editions or these:

In the end I decided upon the latter, thinking that they'd look better lined up on a bookshelf.

I don't really mind the covers either way. In fact, having both should only increase sales :p

now that I know what's inside, the covers aren't important.
