Black Static; Transmissions from beyond.

The 13th Black Static mailed out today. Hopefully just before the strike but, for the superstitious, are these events linked?

Sorry Lobolover you'll perhaps notice our forum has 11079 registered users and of course 90% of them are spammers. That's around 50 a day since the new site went live. Hence Andy does not activate these accounts. Maybe he missed your registration which is easy to do under that bombardment.

If you e mail me the name you registered I'll ask Andy to activate it.

That's a numeric one

AE35Unit Hmmm, I wonder if Black static would take my horror story?
You'll never know unless you submit it to Andy. Don't forget the SAE. You get no response without one. (I'm told about 5% of submissions arrive without an SAE or even an E mail address.)

Sorry about my delayed response.

Quoting my upthread (10 March) self
The Campaign for Real Fear is launching at the blog of Black Static author and columnist Christopher Fowler.

After the recent 'Women in Horror' own goal by SFX magazine, Chris and Maura McHugh want to take positive action to redress some of the imbalance within the genre.
The 20 winning entries will be published in Black Static Magazine, probably June and August's issues; numbers 17 &18. Subscribe now to be sure of your copy.

Some of the 'non winning' entries are posted by their authors in this thread at TTA.

I'm posting Black Static news and information on a thread in the Interzone (and hence TTA Press) section of the site now.

Black Static 18 is out and contains the remaining 10 Campaign for Real Fear winners. And a free podcast of Cody Goodfellow reading his story Atwater from Black Static 4 of April and May 2008 is now available from Transmissions From Beyond.

Atwater contains strong language and adult descriptions
