I was going to make a crack about certain authors choosing to send their weakest offering out first, but I'll refrain...

As always, different strokes. I'm still fairly sure Martin will deliver with aDwD.

I really look forward to ADWD, GRRM is a brilliant author. For the record I think he's a superior writer to Erikson and can throw his hand to pretty much every Genre, I just like the ideas and worldbuilding more in the Malazan books.

I'm nort fed up with Martin yet but it can be frustrating when you want to get on with reading such a standout series.
 
I'm not fed up with Martin yet but it can be frustrating when you want to get on with reading such a standout series and you've heard the prologue chapter of the next book and it's the best prologue chapter of the whole series, which is frankly saying quite a lot.
