Anything by Bruce Pennington!

This is the only BP I can find with verified art credit on the back cover. Have several other books published in England with similar looking artwork but no artist is listed. Will try to post them in the future when I have a little more time. Hope you like it.

Well I did have it as my avatar when I was reading it.
To be honest I believe it IS Pyan. They did the photo shoot somewhere in the north Sea i believe-he got a cold that day.

The two Aldiss's you show are definitely Pennington's -- the Space Time & Nethaniel one is among his better known pieces. The Chris Priest also looks as if it could be Pennington, but it's not one I recognise.

And, Steve, great call! The Book of the New Sun image is just about my favourite ever Pennington (though that's a difficult choice -- he did so many great covers).

I have a couple of large format books of his work... fantastic.

I agree, the Aldiss are deffo Pennington. I have a large art-book with loads of his painting in at home, I'll dig it out and have a look - maybe I can link to it next week.

Many years ago, I scanned the cover of The Shadow Of The Torturer, created one big image, then painstakingly removed all the text in PhotoShop! That picture is on my study wall right now...

I always liked the Frazetta covers used on the old Conan books.

I once found an old ex libraary copy of The Caves of Steel, took the cover off and framed it. I love Chris Foss's work and wish I still had it!

Quite right. In fact, both DAW covers are by Kelly Freas.
