Errata for the B&N volume

So I gather still no word on a completely revised second edition?

Alas, no. The last I heard was that I shouldn't expect all the typos to be corrected in the next printing as that would be too expensive (huh?), but that with every new printing, more errors would be corrected.
 
Wow. I've held off on reading my copy for just this reason. Guess I'll be waiting even longer.

It won't -- I found it too late, alas! But I learned that the second printing will hit warehouses in September. :)
 
This second printing should include all the corrections or just some and we have to wait for the third? :)

It will feature all the corrections that I've discovered except the last one. You'll have to decide for yourself whether you think that is reason enough to wait for the third. :)
 
Thanks for the info on the release of second printing. I think I can live with one error :). I just hope when I order it online, they don't ship the first printing as a way of getting rid of them.

But will this second printing be for the regular hardcover or the leather-bound edition?
 
That's good because I flipped through the leatherbound edition at my local B&N and it's much lighter and more compact than the first clothbound edition with the dust jacket. And it looks nicer, I think.

Hi, everyone. I've used this thread for the past couple years as I've worked my way through the different editions of this title, and now I am reading through the "corrected" second edition. I've found a typo I don't see listed here, so I thought I'd add it.

51.36: now recovering form his astonishment] now recovering from his astonishment

If I spot any more that haven't already been covered by the wonderful Ningauble, I'll add them, too.:)

Excellent!! Way to go! :)

They probably won't make it into the next printing, which I think is being prepared, but hopefully something can be done in the future. In the meantime, these go into the errata list at the H. P. Lovecraft Archive.

Please do! At worst I can pass them on to someone at B&N who can make sure they are corrected in future printings.

Well, to be fair they're doing their very best to correct it. Whenever I send in a new correction I get a prompt reply and an update on the situation.
