People can keep enetring. I just put up the list to make it easier to pick dates that weren't take. Have at it :)

Ben, we all know that was the reason for your guess. WHy don't you make a "realsitic" pick and we'll add it in. Given the stakes, I don't think anyone will mind.

If what he does to his characters is anything to go by, he'd "finish" on a date we haven't chosen.

Great idea. I'd send if on or a bit after the announcement day or else it will probably just get lost in the business of his life :)
 
GRRM is reporting that, due to some unspecified illness - unless someone from the western side of The Pond knows, and can tell us, what "the crud" is - he's "running at maybe 75%".

He also says:
It is slowing me down at the time when I desperately need not to be slowed down.

I know "the crud' as flu-like syntoms that just won't let up or go away. Think of it as a nasty cold that is just kicking your butt.
 
Oh arse, looks like I could have been wrong about May.

(P.S. Had a good day writing today. Half the day on the book, half the day on the script. That's something I NEVER do. But today everything seemed to click. Taxes are done too).

Assuming that's what GRRM is hinting at. But he knows how people will take that remark, so I'm assuming that's deliberate.
 
On the other hand, Wert, what he could be saying is that he needs more days when he can spend half the time on the book** (because there's still a lot of it needs writing) and he needs them soon (i.e. well before the deadline for the script arrives).

So I'm doubtful about my May prediction (well, I didn't actually predecit it, but I might as well stick with it for the next three of four weeks), but only because I think it's too early. :(


I hope I'm wrong, though.




** - Which I hope means ADWD. ;)
