You know you're obsessed when.....

When your hair gets so long that you gather locks from both sides under your chin and you run to the mirror to see if you look like Ser Rodrik!

... visiting a friend or a relative you asked for bread and salt...

...while holding the shinai (bamboo sword in practicing kendo) you now pretend that it's Ice or Longclaw or Blackfyre simultaneously as you no longer dream of copying Battosai...

There is a sad story about how man who just won a lottery died from a poisoning, and it reminds you of Joffrey's final moments. I don't think it was Tears of Lys, though.

When the new movie teailer for MAMA plays and your husband says " who do think will die first?" And you casually ( but seriously reply back) , " No one can take on the Kingslayer, especially since he has both his hands"

When you're talking about something that's 30 days off and start to say "a moon's turn."

(I did that today)

...every time you have an omelette, you must have a biscuit with your tea or coffee.

(Yes, you want a dunk and egg meal....)

You start referring to whiskey as the substance. Mmmmmmm.

... you see black ravens on nearby roofs and you know it won't snow in the next few days.

Indeed.....

You honour the girl you like as "Kaleesi"..... They like that..... ;)

I agree SS! I have a beautiful brown eyed girl of my own. My pit bull! She will be a year old next month my Kaleesi! My hubby says I wasted a beautiful name because Kaleesi may be the dumbest animal on the planet! I disagree, he has not read ADWD, I no longer think Dany is too bright either! :D

I have called my wife "my moon and stars," and she is none the wiser, having not read any of Martin's work.

One thing that is interesting to me is the cultural impact of his work. One subtle marker of popularity is the name of wireless networks. Five years ago, when I'd travel I would find secure private networks with names like Legolas_43 and Gandalf3. I was on the bus last week and ran across a "Braavos" and "Kingslayer".

I'm interested in trends in baby names, so I searched and found this: http://www.parents.com/blogs/in-nam...aby-name-inspiration-game-of-thrones-edition/

The writer of that blog has not read the books. Thus, she can post...
Shae... On the show, it’s the name of the prostitute who becomes the lover of Tyrion—and is probably one of the kindest characters in the land.
I'd like to tell her, "Life is not a song, sweetling. Someday you may learn that, to your sorrow."

You know you're obsessed when you look down your nose at TV only fans.

You search wedding guests for crossbows.

You have an unhealthy fear of lions.

You blame your lack of magic on the extinction og Dragons.

You are sure Criss Angel is from Asshai.

You find yourself admiring the courage of an author who would use a name so appalingly close to "******" rather than laughing at it.
