Piglets and lambs at the butcher's. - AFFC, Chapter 20: Brienne (her fourth)

I skimmed through her chapters before, but I never found it... So I just sat down and powered through today.

Okay... here goes... New Trivia...

Where was Robb Stark born?

Let me state that I do not think there is a definitive answer in the books. But I think it is able to be deduced from the right sources.

Riverrun likely.

Eddard married her at Riverrun and they went to Winterfell after war so I'll deduce that it is Riverrun.

That is my assumption as well. Catelyn has a bitter memory of her first arrival at Winterfell to find Jon Snow already ensconced with a wet nurse. And I assume she never would have left her father's castle and hospitality for Robb's birth.

Yeah, same. If Jon was already there, then Robb had to have already been born.

Okay. My trivia question should be hm...

Name as many trials by combat as you can and named champions. I'll accept answers from Tales of Dunk and Egg, Rogue Prince, and The Princess and the Queen. I'm not sure how many there are, but I'll research it once I get home.

Well...
Ser Vardis Egen fought Bronn over Tyrion's guilt in Jon Arryn's murder.
Ser Gregor Clegane fought Prince Oberyn Martell over Tyrion's guilt in King Joffrey's murder.
Dunk, a green apple Fossoway, a Targ (I think), and four other men fought in a seven man melee against royal Targs and the Kingsguard in the first Dunk 'n Egg.

Very nice. Much approve, but I know two more though one hardly categorizes as such so I'll wait until someone at least tries.

Sry, I don't even know what the Rogue Prince or the Princess and the Queen are.

Then it is a good thing that the remaining 2 are mentioned in the ASOIAF main story books. ;p

And you should read those two. They are novellas written by Martin that are basically like parts of a history book from ASOIAF, the Dance of the Dragons as written by Archmaester Gyldayn of the Citadel of Oldtown.

In the main story?!?! Doh!!! I need to go reboot my brain.

well... not sure if it counts, but Lord Rickard Stark died in a "Trial by combat" though King Aerys cheated and chose fire as his champion.

And the Hound fought in another one versus R'hllor, whose champion was Beric Dondarrion.

I answered got 2.1/5 and won?!?! Generous.

Okay... new trivia...

Since the start of the War of the Five Kings, we've seen numerous Kings, Hands, and Lords. Who is the Warden of the Southern Marches?

Name at least three women who had at some point expressed preference for horseback riding to some other more ladylike travelling option or activity.
