Nanowrimo

You're done, Tillane? Holy poopsmith! I have to push myself to reach each day's limit still.

...and rest. I'm done. Or, at least, my 50k is done. I've still got around 10-15k to do on the novel, but as far as nano's concerned, I'm finished for another year.
Congratulations! :):)

Well, apart from cheering my fellow nano-ers from the sidelines, anyway...:)

...and entering November's 75-word Challenge, of course. ;):)

I have admitted defeat - work got in the way and I am now too far behind with no possibility of dedicated time to complete. It has been immensely useful in finding out how my thought processes worked when writing and how much I can produce in a dedicated session. I am now going to look back on what I have written and see how much I like it. A very worthwhile exercise.

Good luck all.

Wow, well done Tillane! I fell behind yesterday and I've got a friend coming to stay with me for the next three days... don't think I can ignore her, so I'm going to be even more behind! Nooooo! Must write lots today.

Congratulations, Tillane - finishing that early is truly awesome! And well done to everyone who is still at it. I had nearly caught back up to target on Tuesday, but then had two days of no writing due to work commitments, so am just starting to catch up today, getting past 26k. I'm going to need to do lots this weekend, to get back up to target - but, hey, what else is the weekend for?! :D

Yeah, me too, Patrick! Of course, I said that last weekend, and only managed to stay even in my behindness. Here's to a better weekend coming up!

Oh, but darn it, there's those dratted 75 words as well. I think I'll just crawl under a rock.

Come and join me, Dusty! I've been under the rock since I got to 9000 :(

A big congratulations to all who have or have nearly finished!

I caught up, I caught up, I caught up, yay! And for the first time ever, I'm (slightly) ahead of Mouse! :D

Almost 5k words today, whew. Bedtime.

Wow, TDZ, that's impressive! I've not done anything even approaching that in one day, but I've been pretty happy with my consistency (though being on holidays has been a huge help...)

Almost finished! So excited!

Well done, TDZ, I've been struggling to catch up since I missed a few days. Been staying up far to late to do it! So close to the end!!

Thanks! I've always been one for doing things at the last possible second, it's true. Must be all the practice kicking in. :D

The last time I was at the proper word count for the day was Day 3, but I have been pretty consistent at staying in the same behindness throughout. There was a period of three days that I didn't get anything done, and that's what I had to catch up this weekend.

What's going to be the problem, however, is that my story won't be done when NaNo is done, and I will most likely fall apart in the discipline and never finish it! Somebody keep kicking my tail, please.

Hey TDZ, at least your discipline will fall apart after NaNo is over, not a couple of days in (looks around sheepishly).

Baaaaaah! :D That's two sheep in Australia then Cul

At least you are still trying to achieve, Dusty. That's the main thing, I think :)

Only two days left! Sorry I've not been around, but I've had to dedicate every spare moment to getting the writing done...

Managed to catch up to target on Friday night for the first time in over two weeks - then blew it the following day! But the weekend has come in extremely handy again, and I'm a little ahead for once!

Not long to go now - so best of luck to everyone, whether or not you're aiming for 50k. If NaNo has made you write more than you would otherwise have done, then you should count yourself a success, however many words you end up with.

Just done it - just got through the 50k winning line! :) I'm rather pleased, mainly because I've got meetings in London all day tomorrow, so if I hadn't got it finished tonight, I wasn't sure I'd be in a position to upload the novel and prove I'd done it tomorrow...

The story's not quite finished - I'm about half way through the final chapter. I'll finish it off over the next few days, once I've caught up on a few other things (like sleep...)

Anyway, anyone who's still going for it - go on, you know you can do it!

(Retires to nearby bottle of wine to celebrate. :D)

I FINISHED! Now to put this horrendous story away and never speak of it again.
