It's not a question of not posting spoilers, it's about doing it in a respectful manner and in appropriate threads. I'll still be here - I don't think we'll have anyone post spoilers in thread titles, and that's the only way that I'd get spoiled. I'll just avoid the obvious discussion threads.

Aaahhh, cantaloupe... an infusion of culture. I've posted here many times while I've been inebriated. Tennessee Bourbon, vodka and cranberry juice, or beer... I used to drink and drive when I was younger and foolisher... (Is that a word? I'm not drunk now, I swear... although that unopened fifth of Jack is tempting.) I've spent time with friends while drinking. As a young man, I got drunk on most dates... BUT, I draw the line at drinking and reading! I cannot do it. The best way to keep me sober is to give me a book.

TK, if you're ever in Denver, let me know. I'll take you out for drinks.

I just wish Colorado was a cultured the Great White North. Denver now has more medical marijuana stores than coffee shops... and the California expats, midwest transplants, REI crowd, yuppies, faux intelligentsia, conservatives, liberals, skiers, evangelicals, and tree huggers all love their coffee in Colorado.

Drinking and reading is an awful thing. I remember when King's DT7 came out, I was sitting on my front porch reading and drinking some of that Tennessee bourbon you fondly mentioned. I'm not usually an emotional person over books, however, the libations caused my head to swim and a few dramatic deaths caused my eyes to water, the next thing I knew my next door neighbor was standing in front of me asking if I was ok.

If you mean have a thread for each chapter - no way is that feasible. Far too many threads. If you mean have a thread for each POV character, I don't see how that would avoid spoilers - everyone would be at different points.

If you want to discuss a specific scene or character or incident outside the main discussion thread, that's fine, just make sure to keep the thread title spoiler free...

Regarding spoilers of ADWD, just keep them out of thread titles.

We're all used to threads being spoilerific within themselves and can avoid reading them.

But if I see one that is titled "Why Mel Died"....

Can't really avoid that.

Boaz, Boaz...I think her POV will prove that she is not a fake and has a very powerful hidden agenda. GRRM has built up her character and the mystery around her enough to not disappoint us with some story that she's not for real and simply dies.
