A Dance with Dragons ships early...

Tragedy, I was referring to the post just prior to mine. Wiggum mentioned a hypothetical spoiler thread titled "Why Mel died..." So my comment... "She's an interfering, isufferable, pompous, self-righteous, delusional liar. She'll get hers." referred to Melisandre. But applying it to Daenerys is not a stretch.... Oooooooo.
 
Mesanna, I am just going to be cautious, and if I must post about ADWD, I will try not to give anything away in the header and clearly mark spoilers--isn't that how it is best done? And for a few days I will be AWOL. Not so long now.
 
I want to say I won't be reading or posting until I've finished the book, but I work in Afghanistan, we work 7 days a week here, 12 hrs a day....doesn't leave a lot of time for reading. I was a quarter of the way through AFFC when I arrived here 3 weeks ago and I just finished it last night. So you'll probably see me around, but I'll be avoiding spoilers like the dickens because I *hate* finding out what happens that way!!!
 
Yeah Juleska, I hate spoilers too, but I think everyone in the forums will be on their best behaviour for a few weeks, so hopefully you'll be able to finish before the spoilers start unintentionally creeping through. Hope your copy arrives soon :)
 
Just an email from Amazon telling me that my order has shipped. Happy times...Happy times indeed.

A lot of us are doing the exact same thing. It's going to be really quiet here for a few days. I'm normally a slow reader but I think I'll be a losing a lot of sleep until I finish the book.
 
Just received my copy to my kindle - think I may be pulling an all nighter

so excited :D
 
Heading to the bookstore after work. As I have to be back at work tomorrow at eight, won't be pulling an all-nighter. But maybe a late-nighter...

Somehow I don't think we'll see you again tonight, but on off chance we do....what time zone are you in?

I'm going to Chermside, so I'll hit up QBD, Dymocks, Myer, Target, K-Mart and Big W until I find a copy. And if I don't there will be hell to pay! Or else I'll just go home feeling sorry for myself...
 
sadly for the poor folks in NI the 12th is a bank holiday so no post!

I shall be popping into Belfast tomorrow anyway to pick up a copy from waterstones
 
Had it delivered this morning :eek:....but not going on holiday till next week saturday (plan was to read it during my travels).
 
I've utterly screwed up and somehow arranged to have it shipped to my home address instead of my work address. I must have been drunk or something when I ordered, cos I normally have everything sent to my work. Only realised when I got my email from Amazon giving me the shipping address. What an idiot I am! :eek: This means it'll take an extra day, because the Post Office will be closed by the time I get home from work so I'll have to make a trip down there the following morning.

Doh!
