Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3

Thanks to Perpetual Man for the short listing.

Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3

Thanks a tonne for the vote, Mouse; it really means a lot.

I'll endeavour to expend all three votes next time. It was pretty feeble of me to not do so, but in my limited defense, I genuinely couldn't decide who else should get one due to the excellent quality of the submissions.

EDIT: Well that's embarrassing, I got the wrong person somewhat. :p

I come in to vote and find my attempt to add some absurd humor to the challenge has two votes. So thank you Hex and Talysia, and Perp for the mention.

My votes went to hopewrites, southron sword, and mosaix.
Tough, tough time voting for me because my short list ended up being waaaaaay too long.

I voted for Springs: Straight off the bat was a really good entry.

Hoopy: I don't like spiders.

Another vote!!!

Many thanks Parson. (I'm pleased you liked it considering some of the implications of the 'story' in the poem!).

I'm hoping that voting will be over by the time I hit my 2000th post and I'll put the full 800 word original up as my critique (and maybe an explanation or two as well)

Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3

Thank you for the votes, Mosaix and Parson.

Wow, it is really close this month, lots of really good entries and a good spread of votes, several with 3, but the aforementioned Mosaix in the lead (at type of typing) with 4 votes. I reckon this month will be a close one.

Uh I think you'll find it TDZ in the front with 4 votes MB :D

Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3

Thank you so much for the vote, Parson, and I hope you didn't see the ending coming, at the very least! TEIN thank you also for the shortlisting, I'm pleased to be in with such excellent company, too!

Yep, Perp's right.

The voting seems fairly evenly spread this month. One on 4 and six of us on 3!

Normally one or two have a significant lead by now.

Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3

A six way tie at the end of the voting
;)

Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3

Yup, my mistake.
Sorry DustyZebra

Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3

Well, I've voted. I find three votes much more difficult than one, but agree with the theory.

Still, Moon bat, the Judge, Mosaix and quite possibly Ursa, if I can work out who his characters are (from the food stealing, they should be harpies. And from their tripleness, furies or sirens, or even Gorgons, but I can't get the names to line up), were so close (To Teresa, Highlender and Aun Doorback, my votes) that three was too many, and not enough.

Now to start thinking about redemption in seventy five words.
