Discussion -- 300 Word Challenge #5

I finally have a story. Not thrilled with it, but I wanted to write something. Now to see if I can refine it a bit in the next couple of days.

Owing to my self-imposed absence from the chrons, I haven't read a single entry on the 300 word-challenge, so I apologise in advance if my story is similar to anyone else's.

I'm hoping it's going to make voting easier, but if the 75 worder is anything to go by, I doubt it! I'm looking forward to reading them all in 2 days!!

I've posted mine. Haven't read the others, so don't know how mine stands up, but it's done. For a while there (quite recently actually) I was afraid I wouldn't have anything.

The Aligator versus the Goblin Princess:)

Now that's a fight I'd pay to see. Any chance you could do it in mud?

You should have realised, Gary, that should such an unlikely confrontation takes place, any pictures would be pixie-lated....

As is my ability to come up with a 300-worder. :(

I'm going to have to rely on the words in the challenge, inspired by, and accept that inspiration can, on occasions, be a rather weak and pathetic thing.

How about a 'night at the museum' where the statue comes to life? The Terracotta Army maybe ?

Show the picture to a friend/family member and use their initial reaction as your inspiration.

I did like Ursa's joke. I was just being sarcastic :)
