Wow, a third vote! Thank you so much, StilLearning. :):)

And a scary lack of imagery.... I like that description. :)

Many Congratulations to alchemist for his winning entry, Scriptorium!

Congrats, alchemist - a deserving vistory! You were on my shortlist, and made the choosing ridiculously hard. Turns out you didn't need my vote anyway!

Well done and congratulations Alchemist!

You know what is scary? When we come to the next 300 word contest, it will be the end of Summer (not as if this seasonally inclement weather we've been having in the UK lately helps much on that score anyways...). Tempus Fugit and all that....

Wow, I'm absolutely delighted. It was very close until the last couple of hours - commiserations to Hex and Cul. Thanks to everyone who voted (Gary, TJ, Harebrain and Vertigo(?) with the late votes) for me-- apologies if I missed anyone. Thanks for the mentions and the congratulations. It is truly an hinour to join the ranks of the Challenge winners.

*skips to work, pigtails twirling.*

Congratulations, alchemist! Commiserations to the runners-up who plaed a good game!

And thanks for the last minute vote, Cul. I'm reet chuffed by the votes I done got.

Just realised I haven't said thank you for my last minute vote. Thank you very much, Gary Compton, and thank you for the mention StilLearning.

I've really enjoyed reading all the stories. Well done to all.

Congratulations, alchemist! Commiserations to the runners-up who plaed* a good game!

And thanks for the last minute vote, Cul. I'm reet chuffed by the votes I done got.

I second that emotion!! Both of them!! Thanks for the vote Cul. Boy, what a race... if you'd been in the stands and seen those leading horses coming into the final furlong, you could have bet on any of them. Well done alchemist!!

ps: trying to work out if the *'plaed' is a clever pun, or literary reference...
