I just wanted to thank the four people who voted for me and the many short listings - this was my most successful story yet!

And I'm sorry for missing the voting deadline. Apparently the aerosols in Coppertone Spray-on Sunscreen doesn't agree with me, and I had a terrible allergic reaction, lasting many days (and ongoing). My eyes are swollen half shut, and I can barely stop myself from scratching as I write this. :/

Congratulations TSP!

Good show TSP, and well done to DIGS for setting such an enjoyable combination of theme and genre.

My first thought this evening - 'Oh Crapiola!!!'

Sorry guys, I've lost track of days and dates, and completely missed the deadline.

I had done a read through, and was going to vote last night, but fell asleep on the sofa. Didn't realise until it was too late (um, this evening) that I'd missed the deadline. My vote wouldn't have changed the winner, but it was going to go to Gary - something simple and beautiful in this story really resonated with me this month.

On a read back through, I need to thank Bowler 1, Stormcrow, Brev, Starbeast, High Eight and Tisiphone for the mentions, and to StilLearning for the stonkingly amazing vote. I really didn't expect anything this month so am a very happy SF. (there is also an actual factual basis to my story - not sure if anyone would be interested in it, but if you are, am happy to fill in what details I know!)

If anyone is feeling the need to agonize over anything else, there are quite a few folks here who take part in the photography challenge each month, and the voting is open right now.

If you're interested, please take a peek here:

Howdy,
I forgot to mention that my vote was to go to Marvin, great entry.
There was another entry that caught my fancy, kinda reminded me of Homer Simpson covering all bases when he gets in trouble, "help me Jeebus and Booder", etc.

My story lost all it's colour and flavour when I had to chop it almost in half, but as I said, been real busy lately so had to let in as butchered as it was.

Looking forward to next month.

Bob

Congratulations oh spurred one, a well deserved recognition.

I feel bad about this month. I didn't get my vote in in time because I hadn't had a real chance to read all the entries. What a shame, as I actually had some time today to get this done.

Just one long and extremely busy weekend - that lasted in through the week, and this completely slipped my mind.

I really have to make up for it next month.

I do want to throw a thank you out to Starbeast and High Eight for the mentions. I'm kicking myself for this :(

Well done SP. Phoenixthewriter, I try to read four five a day before bed, over the last two weeks. But I'd miss voting easily somedays, it's only luck thats gotten me in at the 11th hour so far.

Congratulations to The Spurring Platty!

A special mention for Starbeast for a second month, there is something about what he writes that always makes me smile.

Aww gee, thank you Perpetual Man. I'm speechless, er, textless..? :D

I'd also like to thank everyone who mentioned me in their Short Listings, and I'd like to give a big welcome to those who thanked me for mentioning them.

Another great month of fantastic sci-fi stories, well done everyone. :)
