You do realise I'll be looking my usual cut? I now have a whole subsidary of my company entitled DEO's inspirations... and it's not showing a profit. Bah.

Nice one, Perp.

Stevietee, I feel like that every month: judging by your other entries, it'll be fab. :)

You might be right, but you lot can now be the judge of that

Was going to write another, but so much on this month, really don't have the time.

Are we allowed to talk about the elements of the photograph that inspired our own stories, or do the same rules apply as for the 75 words comp?

Well, I'm posted/ I'm afraid the 300 word challenge is a tough one for me, I'm much more at ease with the 75 worder.

For me 300 words is too little for a long story and too much for a short one. Having said that , others manage to fill the twenty five dozen admirably.

This one was a challenge this month...I guess that is why this thread is called the 300 word Challenge.

Very admirable entries so far, I have posted mine after too much time and deliberation!

Damn just spotted an error. Read it through several times and didn't spot such an obvious mistake. Oh well ... lol.

I do that too. Just spotted something I don't like - just two mins after posting.

I always tell myself I'll write something - wait a day, then read it again before posting. But I always just write something and immediately post it.

Well - at least it's up now and I can read the other entries. :)

Typos are like chameleons -- they camouflage themselves, blending in with all the other words, then changing into a clashing, obvious colour five seconds afetr publication.

Hex - loved the story so much, I plan on stealing a detail from it for my WIP.

Five seconds or two minutes, you can still edit those -- it's the ones that wait till the next day that are really insidious.

I see another remarkable first-post entry! More new talent finding its way here?

Yes, that would be the one. Shouldn't people be required to post something less than stunning for their first entry? It's really making the rest of us work too hard.

I'll tell her you said so. She will be thrilled to hear it.

I strong-armed her into writing and submitting something at the writers' "retreat" we've both been attending in Oregon.
