Am I the only one who sees swastikas in the foreground ironwork, and a big crematorium chimney?

Not that I want to write a story based on that interpretation ...

No. I saw those right away when we first considered using the photo for an inspiration image. I didn't think of a crematorium.

The elements that jump out at me are the crosses or swastikas in the ironwork, the church, and the field of dead grasses between them.

Of course, in color, the field might be green and the sky blue, and the overall impression of the picture quite different.

I did see those, yes, but I went for a very *very* loose interpretation of the iron whatever-it-is in the foreground instead. Followed the muse. :)

I cannot say I saw the Swastika but the crematorium chimney literally popped out, spinning itself (rather redundantly) around my head. So far it has not resolved into anything substantial but it is early days. There's corn in Egypt, yet as my Grandmother would have said :D

Arrrgh, so much for the story that's simmering in the back of my brain, thanks HB!

I was afraid I couldn't possibly be the only one who saw a swastika there....

I didn't notice the swastika - so it doesn't feature in mine. I was too busy squinting into the distance trying to work out if it was a town/factory/church/crematorium/random other.

Anyway, it's written. I'm content-ish. Just got to get my head around the 75worder now.

I did also and wrote a appropriate story. Then I started to think it was inappropriate:eek:

So I binned it. I still keep looking at the scrawled up bit of paper. Maybe I should just go with the first thought - they are usually the best:confused:

A few vague thoughts swimming around for this one, although nothing concrete as yet. I have a long drive later today, though, and that's usually pretty good for mulling over plot bunnies...

Ack! You're going to ... oh, yes, I see. "Mulling" over plot bunnies on the long drive, not ... never mind.

Hahahaha.

*SPLAT*

Oh s**t, there goes another plot bunny.

It does end up going something like that, actually... ;)

Somehow the idea that I end up with is in no way related to the one I started with. I do kill a lot of bunnies off while driving (although all of the metaphorical variety, I hasten to add!), but usually for the best. :D

If I have plot bunnies they're very much hiding in their burrows at the moment. *sigh*

Did mine today. I don't know what the actual picture is of, but it looks like a church with a giant smokestack coming out of it to me.
