Thanks Nixie.

I'm a bit bewildered at how I seem to have slipped into the front here. I was not expecting anything like this, so was not paying as much attention as I should have, now I'm goingto be as tense as the other leading stories this time round.

I don,t think I can remember a time when there were this many stories so close together, and there are still days to go yet!

Woo hoo! Thanks for the vote, chrispy!

And the short list, alc :)

This is a very exciting -- uh. I was going to say 'finish', but it isn't, is it. A very exciting charge down the home straight.

The 300 Word CVhallenge always leaves me in awe; the quality is incredible , and anyone not voted for can consider themselves on my shortlist!

Ursa - brilliant; love the dialogue and the punchline.

Grinnel - like the way you've converted a comic into the written word. Brilliantly executed, and entertaining to boot.

Phyrebat - again brilliantly written dialogue, as well written as in any novel I have read. Very, very well done.

ARGH I CAN'T CHOOOOOSEEEEEE! Can I vote for them all? :(

No. Absolutely not. I finally voted, which means you've got to, too.

Last I heard it was Hex had the pin – and she stuck it in me, so it should be free now.

And nobody offered you any dragons?

- i had a six-way tie once, but i could never find the matching handkerchief ! - ;)

Still a way to go, too...where'd i put those dragon eggs?

Paranoid Marvin, thank you for my vote :) I think it's the first one I have achieved in a 300 Challenge. I am surprised at your comments on the dialogue as I was rather ashamed of the beat of them! You put a big smile on my face-o.

This is an intense challenge, with the front runners so close. Good luck to all of you.
