I was taught that, in situations where either gender is unknown or there is a mixture the masculine form takes precedence, eliminating that unpleasant singular "their", and I'm too set in my ways to adapt now.;)

Thank you for the vote, your Honour, and (since I haven't got round to doing so until now), thanks also to Hex and Lucky (Hmm, that story seems to have had more appeal to the fairer sex). Whee! Three votes, equalling my best.

First off, sorry it's taken so long to get my votes in. Secondly, I'd like to thank Starbeast, Bowler, Boneman, Perp and Brev for short listing my story; I feel honoured.

And finally, the most important part …

My short list:

Springs

Abernovo

Grinnel

Hex

Chrispy

stormcrow

The Spurring Platty

Tacticalloco

Boneman

HareBrain

Culhwch

And my votes go to:

Chrispy

Tactical loco

Boneman

Simply putting together a short list was a gruelling task with so many fantastic entries, and whittling it down to three was nigh on impossible, but I got there in the end. Congratulations, guys! :)

Thanks for the listing, Scott. :)

I really needed four votes this month. My three went to reiver33, TheSplurringPlatty, and Boneman, with Hex missing out by only the most microscopic of margins. Special mention to Glen for his Groundhog Day inspired piece!

Many thanks for the votes, Abernovo, Brev and Mouse! And also for the numerous listings elsewhere! My story didn't quite turn out as intended this month, and was a real slog to finish, so it's fantastic to see that people enjoyed it!

Thanks for the short lusting TJ.

And it seems with time ticking down we have someone with a nose in front.

One of these days I'm going to commentate on one of these challenges like a horse race...

Short lusting, Perp? Really? Is there something you aren't telling us? A secret fetish for those in the legal system, perhaps? ;):D

I apologise for once again bringing it to a tie...I didn't mean to! Honest!

Thank you for the listing Grinnel! I have had so many more listings and votes this time round than ever before - so yay! Also did someone mention dragon toys? :D

Anyways my short (ish) list and even shorter list:

Grinnel
Karn
DEO
Hex
Robjwhite
TacticalLoco
Boneman
Harebrain

And my votes went to:

Mouse
Perpetual Man
The Spurring Platty

Woop! Woop!

Aun - Thank You soo-oo much for your vote!:D Made my day even better!

7? - skips about -

My best attempt so far, by far!

I'm not fit to polish your boots! Magnificent entries, all of them. Loved entries by Abernovo and Perp, but my votes went to Hex (for the weaved in history and drama) KshRox, which I thought had real emotion and a great story and to Stormcrow, whose Black jack captured my soul with a neat little twist at the end!

That's what you get for typing without a physical keyboard...

Thanks for the mention Aun, and thanks for the vote Kylara
